Root uggh!!! Need help!!

dont really approve of that...its not fully rooted technically without a custom recovery...might wanna warn someone of that little tid bit...
 
yeah without being there with you its hard to fix, seriously first time in thousands of posts ive had someone say hboot wont flash the pc36img when they had s-off, maybe akaza will drop in and say if he has heard of such a thing....

you can still try that terminal thing if ya want...
 
How can I try the terminal thing if I cant download it from the market. And how am I not fully rooted if I am using root only apps?

Why can't you download it from the market?

And full root entails 3 things, unlock nand (s off), rooted rom (super user), and custom recovery (cw or ra), you only have 2 out of 3. Can't do really anything to the phone without a recovery now...also why isn't hboot working properly...?
 
I just listed it on ebay for 175.00 with a but it now price at 200.00 I noted it is rooted but had trouble unrooting. You will need to have kn owledge in this area and it can be done.I never intended to try and rip anyone off. Thanks for mentioning that to me.
Anyways, I still want to try and unroot this and not give up. I just dont have sprint service now and cant download from the market
 
Because I turned my verizon droid x back on. I want to return this phone to avoid a $250.00 charge. Can I try to reflash the package again and reroot?

The only way that I know to unroot your phone is to flash the s on tool and for that we have to get a recovery on your phone unless someone else has an idea...
 
Does HBoot require it to be named exactly PC36IMG caps and all or will it find one named pc36img or something similar to that? Not sure if that would be an issue or not
 
I just followed the rooting for dummies to a "T" When I run unrevoked3 on my phone I get a message saying"The application Zysploit(process com.unrevoked.Zysploit) has stopped unexpectly.Please try again. Then the root fails

No you aren't supposed to. just name it PC36IMG. The folder icon for it should be a folder with a zipper on it. Drop it on your sdcard and try and boot to hboot again

Damn did ya try extremes suggestion as I'm not sure if it's case sensitive...all caps?

Make sure if you try this again that you don't have anything running like Antivirus software and HTC Sync uninstalled.
