You might have to factory reset.

So, being literally 2 weeks old in the rooting scene, I've made some drastic changes to my lg f7 boost mobile via Xposed frameworks.. now after doing more research, I find that I could have achieved the results I was looking for simply using only one or two mods, instead ofa whole bunch of other stuff I used via Xposed.

Now, since I tryed various mods, some stuff conflicts with each other - which is why I am thinking of UnRooting my device, and starting over, re-rooting, etc.

I also flashed the kernel that was listed in the tutorial for simplicity, Freedom Kernel...

Forgive me but, IS THIS the tutorial I need to follow?? to successfully UnRoot my device back to original LG / Boost Mobile's firmware, and start completely fresh brand new like the day I bought it...

and then RE root my phone if I wanted?

and what about the flashed kernel?? do i need to somehow flash the stock kernel back to the device?? and lastly, is this process even WORTH what seems to me as a pretty long hassle?? or should I just be satisified with what I got, and be happy that I dont have any issues with the operation or usage of the phone?? (im just super picky about customization features...)

My phone is NOT bricked, btw.

Thanks!

If you just follow the instructions in the thread then your phone software will be brand new out of the box like you were turning it on for the first time, no root no cwm no custom kernels, all stock.

Alright the first 1 or 2 times I tried this it worked perfectly. Now it's not working at all. The first time I tried it today the phone was reset but, it was still rooted with SuperSu installed. All of my apps and data were gone but, the root was still there and the Philz recovery was still installed. I tried to get this to work 4 times today. I tried using Port 1 in step 7 and COM 1 in step 13 but, the process didn't seem to lead to a full unrooting process so I swapped out Port 1 and COM 1 for Port 2 and COM 2. After a reboot I noticed that the phone still didn't have a fresh install. Checked recovery and Philz is still installed. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm trying to unroot to troubleshoot a game that keeps crashing...

Okay after reading this New LGFlashTool 1.6 - GSM-Forum I realized I forgot to set the phone to COM 41. I did that the first few times I tried this but completely forgot. Yes, the instructions having COM 1 selected and the text reading WILL SET TO 41 instead of it reading SET THE COM TO 41 went over my head this time so if anyone is having trouble try setting the phone COM number to COM 41 and not to COM 1... Also this New LGFlashTool 1.6 - GSM-Forum points to LGFlashTool V1.8.1 | Nexus 5 | XDA Forum which is the version I'm currently using. I don't think it matters what version you use. According to the forums, the MegaLock.dll used here will work for all LG Flash Tool versions. But, I did use this one listed here though New LGFlashTool 1.6 - GSM-Forum and the direct link to the file is http://ceadlabs.com/MegaLock.dll.zip I'm now gonna try chevanlol360's SimplicityXL ROM. If anybody knows anything about it as far as their experiences with it please PM me. Thanks.

Go to the dialer and type ##72786# and your phone will begin the reactivation process. Once it's done if you still have no 4g then follow the info in the guide on how to restore.

Do you have any further details to share? Is it the port and comm part? We need more information.
Yea a lot so I try to install a f260s rom on my lg f7 and it work but when I tried to reboot it does boot up the screen just black. I plugged it into my PC and its says QHSUSB_DLOAD idk what to do

So you tried to install a ROM built for a different phone? That's never a good thing to try. But, we won't lecture you too much. Have you tried to run the unbrick method before you installed the ROM or is this your first time trying to unbrick?

Yea I thought it work but I soft brick this phone before I just used this method. But I can't now of QHSUSB_DLOAD thing

Unfortunately it may be a hard brick and you're out of a phone. Unfortunately I haven't seen a case like this since over a year ago and am fuzzy on the details. I'll need more time to do research but, hopefully other members here will be able to shine more light on the subject.

Yea hopefully The only imna try is to unbrick the phone like f260. I really messed up

Yeah I'm 100% familiar with the process but, hopefully someone else in the community has more details.

Is it possible to flash the stock tar file thru Odin and put phone back to original state."out of box". Cant get this to work.I can get to recovery and download.

You don't have to pay us for help.. This phone doesn't use Odin nor .tar files, only the LG Flash Tool, .dll & .tot files. What step are you stuck at? Screenshots to show us??
