Root [UPDATED 28/12 - NEW INSTALLER] CyanogenMod 7/Android 2.3.4 Is avaliable for GT540!

Thanks. Already done.
one more info.
To update clockmod recovery?

You have to do that through fastboot, just boot into fastboot (camera button all the way down while you switch the phone on) put the recovery img into the C:\Android folder (might have to make it) then open command prompt with administrator priveliges then type:

cd C:\Android
fastboot.exe flash recovery recovery.img
fastboot.exe reboot

this is where recovery.img is the file name of the recovery img, change recovery.img to the actual file name it will definitly end with .img

Also @ Majber you know if theres a changelog, or have you noticed much different with RC3?

Running it for the past hour - not much difference - As far as I'm aware the only change is to allow BT Headsets to operate during calls.

Upgraded using the recovery.zip. BT Headset works! But now my wifi is not working. I enable wifi and within 10 seconds it disabled. Not sure what I've done wrong. Any thoughts? Do I need to restore tmy wifi settings?

Thanks,

Unsure - did not have this problem... if you did a clockwork mod back up i'd try reinstalling the backup and then reflashing the recovery.img

In the RC3 camera works?

Yes it does indeed :) My daughter has been in a lot of my pictures since the update :)

hey i am to this form...

i rencently baught a LG gt540 and i am enjoying it...
i then found out you can update it, so i tryed to update from V1.6 to V2.1 useing the LG update tool but it woudent work and no one could help me, then i found out in SA you can't update to V2.1 for some reasion...

i see in this form you have updated to a higher version, i see when dudeman1996 posted this upgrade he was refering to V2.1 but never V1.6, so i wanted to know if it is possable to start upgrading from V1.6 or if i must start at V2.1???

i down loaded V10D from this web sit http://csmg.lgmobile.com:9002/swdata/WEBSW/GT540/ABALBK/V10d_00/V10D_00.kdz and i don't know if this is correct and safe to use, their are also no in structions to tell me how to update my phone...
