[Verizon] [rom]jbsourcery v5.4-lte[06/07/13] jb4.2.2 The Final Call

Hey, what gives? I finally get this ROM the way I like it and Verizon decides to drop the OTA. Is there anything to be gained by going back to stock and getting this? Would I lose Google Wallet, Tethering, and a smarter Google Search? Are the radios the same or different than the ones I flashed a couple of weeks ago? Is the battery life any better? Is the speaker any louder? Will you guys be getting the JRO030 build anytime soon? Will I ever be able to STOP ASKING SO MANY QUESTIONS?

Talk me out out of this, please! I don't want to have to go back into VZW jail in order to get a few things I don't already have! Help a flasher out! AAAAAGH :afraid: !

Anyway, she IS booting up now... and of course I ALWAYS make backups befire doing anything fancy like this :)

Lol! Loved that when I first saw it!

I am really loving this Alpha 60. With everything else my phone kept getting extremely hot when using GPS. Had to use it this morning to find a way around a car accident and it ran cool as ice! Snappy perfomance + cool temps = WIN!

The radios you have are the same in the new ota. stay where you are and you will be most happy :)

Go into Control center > Navigation bar > Menu and click on reset nav Bar

This will reset your nav bar settings.. go into toolbox and download the blossom keys again.. and you are good to go

Mucho Thanks! Love your ROM and appreciate your hard work. Spent all last night customizing and running my battery down to nothing. Then I found the Battery Stats reset and tried it this morning. I'm checking out more customizations so I can run the battery down to zero, charge it back up, and see if it helped. I haven't even got into your mods yet.

I didn't have much luck with the Trinity Alpha 60, my phone got hot from a 5 minute session of texting and facebook a few times today and my battery life was pretty bad as well. I was under 10% by 9pm with minimal use today. Yesterday with the Franco kernel I was just under 40% and it was a heavy use day.

which franco are u referring to cus trinity didnt like me either...
 
Yeah the Trinity Alpha 60 kernel runs cool enough but I am not impressed with battery life so far. I will give it tomorrow, coming off a full overnight charge, before I pass final judgment...

yea its been updated to r268 and r264. i had been using air kernel r273, its been just ok...trying to figure out which gov to use b/c everyone is saying interactive for battery/speed but interactive gets hot to me... just want something low temp and quick, doesnt have to be mach1 lol

With franco I ran it for 2 days, I noticed a little lag, mostly when using the keyboard but I never felt my phone get hot no matter how much use. I was also running the interactive gov. I just switched back to the r249 tonight after the bad battery life I had with the trinity kernel.
 
This is why, when anyone asks for a kernel recommendation, I always say run them all lol.

same kernel, 10 people swear by it, 10 people curse it. Load em..run em.. see what works best for YOU!!!

I have updated all the kernels.. If you find 1 that is off the list, and you want it, let me know. i got em all saved :)

That's the weird thing about kernels, the one that works great for my phone may throw yours into a bootloop. They are SO phone-specific that there is truly no way to judge the best kernel for your phone based on the success of others. We just have to experiment ourselves. MAKE BACKUPS BEFORE EXPERIMENTING!

Sorry to requote, but my other post quoting this didn't get answered. I still cannot find anything a bout a security issue in my googling. There is another JB rom with this implemented in it.
