[Verizon] [rom]jbsourcery v5.4-lte[06/07/13] jb4.2.2 The Final Call

I'm having a little issue trying to set a family pic as my lock screen wall paper..i keep getting jbsettings is not responding...this is my first attempt at lockscreen wall paper, did i miss something
 
Hey, guys. Just tried the inverted theme but my gmail is still the boring white. Any suggestions? Also, should I just do the inverted Gapps route instead? What are the pros, cons and so on? Thanks a lot.
 
Did you un-install updates to gmail before you started?

inverted gapps dont always play nice. probably lose your dialer without manual intervention

Yikes, don't want to mess with Gapps then. No, and I apologize, I didn't know I had to do the uninstall updates thing and unsure where I'd do that... In Google Play store?

yea my gmail is still white as well, also some of the drop down menus are blacked out now too and i cant see what in them anymore like the overclocking menu in tools the govs are all blacked out. but its cool i guess

You do that in Settings and Apps... scroll over to "All" scroll down to the app and click on "uninstall updates"

then install the theme again..should be good to go
 
OK, this is hands down the most customizable JB ROM out there.

However, I am getting frustrated with my ignored requests.

FACEBOOK CONTACT INTEGRATION!

This rom is touted as the one with the most Dev support and responses, yet my request for this feature continues to be ignored. Why?

Eagle said that there was a security issue, and that it is easy to add back; I have yet to find the security issue (as I have posted), the only one I find is that it is an internal competition issue between Facebook and Google+. And eagle has not responded since I asked him up front to answer.

So I guess I will be a squeaky wheel in this thread until I get a clear answer.

Please, please, please; either give me a firm link about the security issue/broke stuff or I will have no choice but to continue squeaking here and elsewhere until my axle gets greased.

p.s. I want to stress that I truly like this rom, but truly wish that the feature for which I ask could either be addressed and/or added back in.

I apologize, but when I go into Settings, apps, all, gmail, I don't see an option for uninstall updates. I see force stop and so on, but not that one.

Then for gmail you are fine.. If there ws an update you would have the option to un-install updates

The reason your question has not been addressed is eagle is busy rebuilding his computer after a fried motherboard. Hopefully that is enough grease on that squeaky wheel, as we will decide what and when to include items into the rom..
 
Just saw a feed on Samsung about Pop-up Play on the SIII. I don't know if it's a hardware thing, or what, but that would be just awesome to have someday! I know it's definitely an "out there" suggestion (as if you haven't already heard it by now, I'm sure!), but hey, aim for the stars?

That aside, I've seen a few no data in the mornings after the phone sitting there, but that's on WiFi, gonna leave it on network tonight, and see what happens. And that random Bluetooth thing where it just stops transmitting audio, even while the song keeps playing. Need to turn BT off and back on, then golden. Please not I'm not saying these are really big bugs or anything for me. I am pretty lenient with smartphones, and I can just as easily attribute it to my phone being well, a smartphone, and nothing's ever perfect. It takes next to nothing to resolve on my end, so, take that as you will.

BT, never had that happen to me... that is one where a logcat would go a long way, but understandable that its hard to catch since it is so random.

Would love to hear if anyone else has seen this one.

Sorry to hear about eagle's fried board. I will stop squeaking now. Hope I didn't peeve you off, as eagle said he would add it back in if there was no security issue.

i have always had issues with gmail and inverted themes/apps

typically everything else works fine, but gmail stays all white

same thing this time
 
Mine must have been inverted due to running beanpicker... Tried a new install and no changes :( Looking at other options, but for now gmail isnt inverted...
