[Verizon] [ROM]JDX (formerly Jelly Belly) AOSP+ - v15 (7/28)

Hey GNexers!

Been sick for the last 2 weeks, still trying get back to 100%

Anyway, I am loving this ROM! Just flashed 9.0. Everything works! Loving the group messaging...it's about time! Play Movies work. Sure I had to get an app for toggles and a widget for toggling 4G easily, but this ROM is beautiful. Fast, too, especially with Lean Kernel 4.4 and Lean Tweaks 16.0!

Screen shots on the way!

^ Stock battery! Yes WiFi all day. Indoors so brightness is low. But this is in comparison to same setups I have had on different ROMs.

9.1 up and running. Gps lock in less than 5sec...will update the op in a bit. Only thing left to test is the group mms, other than that.... Looks great! I did do a clean install because of the VZW base that is updated.... And there are some new gapps... Recommended clean install.

What kernel are you guys running? After awhile I've started to notice a decrease in battery life using Franco Kernel on my regular settings (on demand 1200/300). Used to get over 18hrs on 3G uptime but now its decreased tremendously to about 8 to 10hrs. Any kernel suggestions?

Not sure what kernel Ryan uses but I use lean kernel however the stock kernel of this ROM is pretty good too. If you look at a couple posts above you can see my battery life on this ROM version 9.0 lean kernel stock battery to get an idea.

Whenever I clean flash I let the included kernel run for a day... If I don't get an entire day (18-20hrs, with a screen time between 3-4hrs) then the next morning I will do lean kernel. My phone tends to like the interactivex governor, so once I install the newest lean experimental, that's usually the only change I make.... And usually get my full day from that.
Also one of the reasons, although I have tried most of every other JB roms, that I keep coming back to jelly belly... The all day battery!
I am on the regular stock battery, and not extended, and only add in several inverted apps, and the Notification Toggles app... Other than that, just jelly belly!

9.2 (md5: a647d0c8ae294989a2389d60ffb5d34a)

Downloaded last night... Installing this morning.
Update soon... But I am also trying out a new Gapps package made by Justunbean.... Will see how it goes....

Just got my Galaxy Nexus today and I just got back from the Verizon store to set it up. Now I'm downloading 9.2 to see how it looks.

Do you install any of the Mods on top of Jelly Belly? If so which mods are worth it? Also I assume you install after the first reboot? I'm not seeing any info on the individual Mods. Does it exist anywhere?

Yeah I know, so many questions.

No worries glad to have you here....

Mods are explained in Post #2 on the rootz thread...or you can follow the devs that make the mods. Personally I use willyjays 1percent and zenith. And then a whole bunch of inverted Gapps that come from another dev...

Also, yes. Install rom and Gapps... Reboot. Then let settle... Then reboot to recovery and install mods. Then reboot.

In regards to mods... Just watch what you install until you know what works since the dev does not make the mods, he can't fix the rom to fit the mods, if you know what I mean....

Usually best to wipe dalvik, install mods, wipe dalvik, fix permissions then reboot... At least that's how I do it and never had an issue on this rom!
Welcome and let us know if there are any questions!
