[Verizon] [ROM]JDX (formerly Jelly Belly) AOSP+ - v15 (7/28)

Well, noticed my first issue, BT signal is awful. Still running v2.1, but I use bluetooth too much not to have it. I think I remember others having this issue, is there a fix? Or do I need to flash a new ROM?

I have the Wifi / BT fix zip but danged if I can find it online. I'd post it but I don't have dropbox. The full name is:

VZW_JB.4.1_WiFi_BT_MMS_Fixes.zip

Google that, DL and flash it :)

EDIT: Here, try this link:

[FIX] 07-01-12 - Fixes for WiFi, BT, GPS, & MMS on Verizon Jellybean 4.1 ROMs - xda-developers
That is the link. Did y'all, or one of you try this and did it help?

Haven't tried it yet. I'm debating whether to flash one of the new ROMs or not. Considering I prefer a stock experience, am I better off sticking with Vanir v2.1 JB?

Battery life on my phone is finally good running Vicious JB V2.

I had some problems flashing, so I'm not going to upgrade to a higher version (he's on 3 now) unless there's a compelling fix. But I used to hit 12 or 13 on my best days. I'm hitting 16 on a more average day now.

Interestingly, it was reporting terribly, telling me to recharge after about 6 hours, until I just let it drain itself and shutdown. Turns out it was just the battery stats as I was on 4% for a couple hours.

Volume issues suck, but other than that I'm loving this thing.

Jelly Belly is very stock idk of one aesthetic enhancement that he's built into the ROM. Everything is by choice and are flashable add-ons if one wants them. jakeday has really just taken the port and made it better on our phone (behind the scene stuff). At the same time, if your happy and all is well then I'd say to stick with what ya got.

I installed JB 1.7 this afternoon. Had been running JD's 2.1, with no problems. But since instlaling JB 1.7, I am having handoff issues. Left work, where I was on wifi, and halfway home realized I didn't have 3G or 4G. I tried to toggle airplane, but once I turned airplane on, I couldn't turn it off. I had to reboot.

Once I got home, realized I haven't had 4G, and I always have 4G. In fact, I barely have 3G. Now I know this didn't have any radios, but the only thing I can think of, is the software isn't handing off somehow.

I think I may have to try and wipe everything, again, and reinstall.

Not sure what's going on, but it is really weird. Especially since JD 2.1 had been working well.

Hey guys. I'm up and running JB 1.7 but I have a question. Before I installed it I did all the wipes and formats that was suggested but I still have all user data which I thought it was going to delete. I still have all my pictures, ringtones ect. Is this normal? I'm new to rooting but when I loaded up my last ROM everything deleted.

Have you done a Titanium restore? Are you sure that VZ's network in the area is not the culprit? Have you rebooted your phone?

WHat ROM did you come from before installing 1.7? When you do a complete wipe nothing is touched on your /sdcard partition. So if all your pics and ringtones are on your sdcard then yes it is normal.

I was coming from the VZW stock 4.04

The jelly bean lwp in the op was updated by dev its pretty cool for those that run lwps.

Also for those who haven't found the easter egg yet: settings > about phone > where it says android version 4.1 tap fast. Then long press the huge jelly bean. You can flick the beans around from there

Just restored apps,no data with titanium. No,I am not sure it isn't the network. I have rebooted and it comes back, but if I turn on WiFi, same thing.

Also, the airplane mode thin, where I can't turn it off without rebooting, happens no matter what.

What is different from the new version in comparison with the update from 6/30? I haven't had any issues and love the rom...its time consuming to re-install apps and ringtones

Heres the change log.

fixed issue with home button some users had
slightly faster UI
upgraded a few apps
fixed bug with play store downloads
fixed setting cpu frequencies from apps
fixed boot bug (rare, but still happened on some)
minor bug fixes
requires at least version 07/01 of GApps!

I just came across the first thing I don't like about JB. I know they improved the keyboard but I'm not fan. For example when I typed to my friend "what time are we eating tomorrow at Jim's" with ICS I would get a few punctuations options in the auto-correct bar but now it gives me words that would go along that sentence when all I really need is a "?" Is there a way to change this option?

Nevermind, figuard out how to turn off next word prediction.

Good to see you found it not many people know this.

Going to come back to jelly bean and give jellybelly1.7 a try, but omg is the download slow. 20 kb/s is lame!

v1.8 up. Use 07/01 gapps (same as you used for v1.7). No wipes if coming from previous jelly belly version, just flash. Both mods in OP are good for v1.8 as well. You must flash gapps every time you upgrade, dirty or not.

I have only flashed doing a full wipe install of jelly belly. If I just flash 1.8 over 1.6, and then new gapps will I still have to re-setup all my apps?

Nope everything should be intact and setup the way you left it.

I just flashed the beast that is JB 1.7 and I got a semi from the boot logo itself. It was very easy. Not sure why so many people have had so many issues...

Can't wait to Android some more!

and after running vanir v5 with no issues for 4 days I got stuck in a bootloop

tried to restore nandroids, to no avail, data restore errors with each one

back to stock it seems
