[Verizon] [ROM]JDX (formerly Jelly Belly) AOSP+ - v15 (7/28)

and after running vanir v5 with no issues for 4 days I got stuck in a bootloop

tried to restore nandroids, to no avail, data restore errors with each one

back to stock it seems

What a bummer. Well, nothin' wrong with stock at all on this phone

I stopped the download at got 1.8. Up and running smooth thus far. Restoring apps now.

Nice. It's really good.

I don't see how he made this ROM any faster, but honestly it is so fast I feel like I'm in some kind of time warp navigating through the screens and multi-tasking w/o the slightest hint of a slowdown. This is just not possible with ICS, I'm blown away.

I was originally on venir v3, but after all the problems related to it, I flashed back to aokp to play it safe. I loved it the first time through and welcome more stability. I really like Google now and missed it, but I do miss my aokp toggles.

Yup I understand. I missed AOKP at first. After running JB and restoring back to AOKP I felt like everything was in slow motion. I'm choosing speed and multi-tasking heaven over customization right now.

First full day running Vicious (only one I could get to download) and I have to say, JB is incredible for an "incremental" update. I usually don't pay attention when people say the UI is "faster, smoother, etc." because I rarely ever notice a difference, but the difference between Liquid 1.4 ICS/stock ICS and JB is very noticeable. Google has clearly made huge strides with their mobile OS, I believe 4.1 may be the final step they had to take to pass iOS.

Anyways, I'm probably just going to stay on this ROM until the source comes and someone builds a completely stable, completely stock version. Not to say these ROMs aren't, because I've had 0 problems. I don't like bouncing between ROMs because the reinstallation of apps/signing back into everything is so time consuming.

Edit: forgot to mention the battery life improvement also. Battery life on Liquid 1.4 was atrocious for me, I was just too stubborn to flash something new. Usually around 1 1/2 hours of screen on time before getting below 10%. With JB, I got 4 hours of screen on time on a charge. More than enough for me.

Sneakking, that is precisely what happened to me and a lot of other people. It seems that Venir writes some kind of exclusivity to the phone SOMEWHERE, because I Super Wiped Data, System, Cache & Dalvik and the thing still self-destructed.

I am much, much happier with Jelly Belly. And while I admit I haven't tried to flash back off of it yet (I don't WANT to!) , I don't read where it whacks people's phones.

:)

I used the MediaFire mirror this morning and it went quickly. His primary link to 1.8 was slowwwwwwww...

Now running JellyBelly 1.8 + LeanKernel 4.0.0. Seems blazing fast... and it appears that my battery has stopped dropping so quickly when idle. It wasn't the deep sleep GPS issue before, I just had higher battery drain than I used to have on CM9, especially when the phone was idle.

Up and running on 1.8, so thankfully no issues like Chief and others had coming from a Vanir rom... WHEW! Just getting everything back how I like it. :D

yeah, what's strange is that it had been fine for 4 days, i had rebooted the device several times switching batteries as well, no issues

wow...downloads are either busy or a slow server....been trying to download 1.8 for about 2 hours and at 12%....does anyone have it available in a drop box or GDrive I could get?

Have you tried the mirrors? The primary download has been slow all day.

There are about 4 mirrors do none work or are they all slow?

edit: binarily ninja'd! :p

Haha...I have tried all of them...will try again later see what happens. I want to make sure I get a complete download anyways....no retrying!!!!

I'm still trying to find out what the "fixed volume issue" change is in the changelog. I had previously thought it was going to boost the volume some like present AOKP and CM9, but it didn't on my end. Anyone else seeing any difference in the volume?
