[Verizon] [ROM]JDX (formerly Jelly Belly) AOSP+ - v15 (7/28)

Check in the OP and use the third option (Deep Sleep Issue Fixes) for a gps/location fix. It also is a deep sleep fix so you kill 2 birds with one stone....hopefully :p

So basically just download that app and open it? Wow, easy fix lol.

Can anybody tell me how to use google drive when that's offered as a dl mirror? I mean I'm assuming I need a local copy of the zip file on my phone in order to flash it, but I can't figure out how to physically get it from the cloud onto the phone...I think dropbox has an export option or something like that, but I can't find the google equivalent if that makes sense :(

bump for you :) I have no idea

TOO MUCH UPDATES.

1.9 can be dirty flashed as well I assume? Downloading it now, might flash before the changelog. I just flashed 1.8 on an hour ago...

Yup dirty flash away. Just remember if you run into issues then a clean flash will just about assure you of a trouble free install :itsme:

Not one reported bootloop issue on jelly belly build after 1.2. Hope you're not the 1st  j/k
I don't think super wipe is needed, but that's me. Don't use rom manager to wipe do it manually.
.

I just use Rom Manager to reboot into recovery and then once in Recovery I wipe everything. I don't wipe from within Rom Manager. Thanks for the info.

Darn I knew I should have waited. Going to flash 1.9 now. I just got done with 1.8 lol.

I did not see any improvement with volume on 1.8. Even with Volume+. Strange. :(

Perfect. Good tip for getting into recovery instead of the manual way I post in 1st post. Thanks

I had to download the Google Drive app to my phone, then reclick the link for the dl mirror, and then it gave me the option to download the file.

You can also use Goomanager, it won't download the images for you, but you can select any zip file to flash, and if you're using TWRP it'll auto-wipe/backup/flash everything for you! Of course...you need to root to use it...

Really? I haven't tried volume+ yet as I have some ring and noti tones (from the SGS3) that are super loud!

Hey folks, all those add-ons in Jelly Belly Post #2... can I flash all that at once with the ROM? Or should I go back after booting and flash them?

Here's what I want:

JB 1.9
gapps
% Circle Battery
Fast Soft Glow
Power Menu Reboot

What's the sequence here so I don't screw something up? I'm good about that sometimes, ya know :p

Well I guess I'll try it once my battery charges back up enough to flash 1.8... shouldn't take long...

I successfully locked onto GPS this morning with Navigation. Took forever, but it finally locked.

Here's the way to flash from AOKP to Jelly Belly:

Put Jelly Belly 1.8 and gapps dated 7-1-12 in the root of internal memory. You may also want the following zips:

Super Wipe
Wifi/BT Fix

Back up everything on your phone to the PC - including your pictures, videos, music and latest nandroids!

Check the MD5 sums on Jelly Belly & gapps!

Boot into Recovery.

Wipe Data
Wipe Cache
Wipe System
Wipe Dalvik
...or run Super Wipe, which formats all four of them.

Flash Jelly Belly 1.8
Immediately flash gapps 7-1-12

Reboot.

Set up the phone, see if you have a wifi/BT issue. If yuou do, go back into Recovery and flash the fix & reboot.

Enjoy you some awesome Jelly Bean and have fun exploring! :D

I think I want to try jellybean, what does check the MD5 sums mean?

You're gonna get differing opinions. I like to flash the ROM then gapps in one swoop. Then reboot and let it boot up I briefly check it out. Then I like to flash one mod per recovery session. Just me though

Sessman, MD5 Sum is a sequence of numbers and letters that the computer calculates for a zip file. Once you download a file, make SURE the MD5 sum matches so you make sure it's a valid download before you flash it.

Rootzwiki lists, in Post 1, the MD5's for the Jelly Belly versions and gapps. WinMD5 is a great PC download to check MD5s... or MD5 Checker in the Play market if you're downloading directly to the phone.

Jake Day (the dev) just posted on page 194 that the add-ons do work, but to wipe Dalvik after flashing.

AFTER flashing???

Okay, Jake, you're de man...
