[Verizon] [ROM]JDX (formerly Jelly Belly) AOSP+ - v15 (7/28)

im curious as to why there is a new version and updates to this thing every single day...

how much can actually be wrong with it?

truth be told, it will take verizon until February to get us JB, but if it is actually released in august, it will be next august :p
 
Jake's just making tweaks and enhancements to JellyBelly. And he's doing it almost constantly - does he not have a job? :D

EDIT: I gotta keep my phone plugged in: I'm flashing 2 versions a day at this rate! BTW the 1% Battery Mod is gorgeous! So much better than just a battery shape with a colored level in it!

Hmmm.... Chrome to Phone isn't working, and my screenshots aren't showing up on the PC when I hook up the Nexus!

I reduced the file size, saved the reduced file in Pictures. Astro sees it. When I scan "Pictures" folder with the PC, though, it ain't there! :eek:

So okay, I'll just Chrome to Phone this forum to the Nexus and upload it directly, right? No Chrome to Phone!

Things I have noticed since coming from 1.8.

Volume is still low.
Takes longer to boot.
GPS is still kinda slow.
Lightflow is not working. - Never mind, got it working!


JB question in general. How do I get the punctuation to appear on the top of the keyboard at the end of the sentence like in ICS?

GPS was an instant lock for me. WOW!
 
Trooper, did you try Faster GPS from Play market? That may be the difference...

EDIT: Also found the Chrome to Phone problem:

I forgot to set it back up after flashing all this drama :rolleyes:

How did you get light flow to work? It is hit or miss for me

Rootzwiki lists, in Post 1, the MD5's for the Jelly Belly versions and gapps. WinMD5 is a great PC download to check MD5s... or MD5 Checker in the Play market if you're downloading directly to the phone.

Perfect thanks! And what does it mean not to wipe in the rom manager, just wipe in recovery is ok?
 
Looking at flashing tonight...got some down time. Anymore problems with bootlooping or bricking with these newest versions? That's one thing that kept me away so far. Can't afford the extra time to fix it :)

Yes. Go into Recovery from power down and wipe from there. Dalvik is under "Advanced" :)

DarkCyber, I've got nothing but darn near perfect Jelly Bean here. No reboots, bootloops or any of that. Very few apps don't work, and I suspect it's because they're not written for 4.1 yet. So far so great!

For me, LightFlow will generate notification lights, but I can't always get it to stop blinking after. Gmail was working fine for most of the day, but when I got a text message tonight (different color light), I couldn't get it to stop blinking unless I shut off LF.

You are going back to ICS just because of LF??? Is that app really the dealbreaker here?

I mean, LF was cool and all, but you are taking a step back by returning to really whatever ROM (includes stock) you came from. :confused:

No lightflow.
No GPS.
No mms.
Low volume.

So back to ics. These are all deal breakers for me.
 
Finally jumped from one of the original JB roms to jelly belly 1.9. Perfect install and TiBU for my apps. Everything is nice and smooth. Really miss some of my original aokp tweaks, but I cannot go back after having a taste of JB! Everyone should at least try JB. Seems like all of the bugs are worked out for the install.

He's not crazy I did the same thing. Light flow wasn't working for me and I need it when I'm at work and I even have the full version. I need to know if I just got a MMS or Gmail or if its just Facebook or something. It may be a gimmick app to some but to others its extremely critical to others.

Plus there's a ton of other customization in AOKP and Liquid that are just as crucial
 
I'm still using JD's Jelly Bean v2.1. I'm holding off on any other versions until google uploads it and we get a build directly from source (instead of from nandroid backups).

I had some GPS issues, it wouldn't get a lock... so I launched GPS Status & Toolbox (great app, been using it since I had it on my original Motorola Droid), wiped the AGPS data, then redownloaded it. Got a solid lock about two seconds later. I've had no other problems to speak of except that Flash doesn't seem to work that well, and ICS Browser + hasn't been updated for JB compatibility yet.

LF is known issue until the dev works it out on his end.

Did you try any fixes for the GPS like this one?

MMS has always worked for me on JB was it just not sending anything at all?

Volume will be fixed in 2.0 :)
