[Verizon] [ROM]JDX (formerly Jelly Belly) AOSP+ - v15 (7/28)

Any SwiftKey users out there noticing crazy typing lag? I'm on 1.7 and it's terrible with typing. Haven't noticed this at all on ICS (or even previous builds of JB).

I'm running 1.7, I can I flash 1.9 or should I flash 1.8 then 1.9? Also, do I need to flash Gapps after? Has anyone ran into any problems with a dirty flash or is it stable enough?

Good Morning, Happy Independence Day and wow... it's actually a GREAT morning:

I successfully made a nandroid backup! :D

I betcha it was my library of music bogging everything down. I had my Google Music pinned for offline listening... but with all this flashing drama it kept downloading over & over again. I've blown through 10GB in a week!

I unpinned everything and the nandroid went through without a hitch. Not sure if that was sheer coincidence or the culprit is found: I'm just happy that I now have a JB backup.

Happy Independence Day! Things running great on 1.8 for me. I can live without light flow for a little while. Thinking about grabbing Volume +. I've lived without it for this long but I can barely hear it in my pocket.

Flash directly to the latest version, and yes, you have to flash gapps.

I've "dirty-flashed" the last 3 builds with no problems.

I'm really liking this jb 1.9 and may stay on it, although I do miss some of the Aokp features.

Two of the things I missed were added as add-ons: the battery % indicator (love it) and the Reboot/Recovery options in power down (love it).

This thing is so nearly perfect that I can't imagine what improvements would be in 1.10/2.0, unless Jake's going to start adding custom ROM tweaks to his stock creation.

I don't miss AOKP at all ;)

That battery is too big for me it looks off :p I'm using the CM9 battery icon v2. 1st battery listed in this thread....matches real nice.

And thanks for that link, I had read dakota's guide a while back and wow he's added everything now! Added to OP

just upgraded to 1.9, volume + doesnt seem to be working. has anyone else got it working?

I don't use it as I have ringtones and notification tones from the sgs3 that are super loud. I started a thread with those tones here...somewhere...:p

Volume+ has been hit or miss on v1.9 in the rootz thread. Some report it working great and some don't which leads me to believe it is most likely in the settings of the app and how each user applies those settings. Just a guess

But, volume will be fixed in jelly belly 2.0 which is supposed to drop today. What has been so nice about all these is being able to flash on top of. I'll take updates all day long if we can dirty flash. If we need a clean wipe each time I'd rather have an update every 2 weeks or thereabouts.

And here is a pic of that battery for reference if some want to try it.

Very nice battery mods...thanks for sharing!

So, these battery mods work ok on the VZW GNex? Making sure before I flash them.

They should work on any JB ROM so far as I know as they use the same base which is the nandroid off a GSM phone. That is all the developers have to work off of. Make a backup in case though, always :)

For the record I've only used that first one in my ss. But I've seen many reports of people who've used all them without issues. You'll want to use the ones listed as "stock jelly bean" not the modaco versions

Or, if you'd like to go back to the stock battery you can just wipe cache partition and dalvik, then re-flash the jelly belly rom your on along with gapps and your straight.

I've noticed problems with all the keyboards even on JD's v2.1 Jelly Bean. No auto spacing on Swype, Swype Beta, SwiftKey, and no text prediction in most cases. Every browser I use none of those features work in a simple google search.

I don't get it, Snap & Dread. I use Swiftkey 3 and it's super responsive on JBelly 1.9 in Handcent. But you're right: no predictive text or auto space in search.

Thanks, I'll look for your thread with the ringtones. Volume+ worked great when I was running Liquid's ROM. I just updated to JB 2.0 so we'll see if that makes any difference.

Well I just did the 2.0 update and played around with Beats Audio and i'm not really seeing any difference in volume for the speaker. Going to give Volume+ another try

I can't believe Jake is throwing updates out so fast. 2.0 already????

He's my nominee for Android Man of the Year.

WHOA: reading Rootzwiki, I'm seeing people losing root with 2.0. It's also breaking GPS. I'm holding off.

2.0 up and running great....dirty flashed. No complaints here...going to give beats a chance today and see what happens!!
Also added inverted Gmail and MMS...working great.

Edit: Still have root and GPS was less than 3 sec for a lock. Working great and Buttery!!!

Just updated to 2.0. wiped dalvic and cache. Just noticed I can't obtain root on any root apps and Google music is the older version. I flashed the 0704 gapps and had to download music from the market.

Besides these issues it seems to be smoother than 1.9 for me. Will try to figure out my problem after get something to eat.
