[Verizon] [ROM]JDX (formerly Jelly Belly) AOSP+ - v15 (7/28)

Flashed 2.1. All is well, but MMS seems to be broken. Anyone else having issues?

I've sent and received MMS successfully on all the belly builds except for 2.1 as I'm still on 1.9. You having trouble sending and receiving?

Jelly Belly 2.2 is up - grab it before the servers are shut down!

And then I'll let you guys test it out... I'm resting comfortably on 1.9 :)

EDIT: Spit, ninja'd again... I type too slow :D

And I can confirm the power boot option menu mod and the battery mods (from xda) work. Yay!

Also, after I installed 2.2 and gapps I rebooted to a very fast boot. Then boot into recovery and flashed power boot option mod. Reboot after was very fast again. Reboot into recovery using new power menu mod and flashed circle battery CM9 v2 and again reboot to a very fast boot.

1st time I've not seen one of those "2-3 minute Google logo screen boot" after subsequent boots. Very nice jakeday

edit: Got gps lock in 30 seconds near a window inside my house. 1st time try since upgrading to 2.2

What kernel have people had the most luck with so far?

I've tried franco (and I am a huge fan), popcorn, stock, and stock compiled with linaro. The stock compiled with linaro has been the best for me. This is the kernel that is baked into Jelly Belly already.

I posted some ss's in the OP that give you an idea what I achieve on wifi on this kernel. Although it's on wifi, it's nothing to sneeze at.

Did you clean or dirty flash?

I clean flashed 2.1 today and all was good. Just now cleaned flashed 2.2 and slow boot times are back. JB is a weird animal right now, that is for sure. Need to check GPS. 2.1 was fine. If 2.2 is not, I am going back to ICS yet again, lol.

You nut :p

I've dirty flashed every build of Jelly belly since v1.6 and I've flashed them all except for 2.0 and 2.1

The long boots never bothered me as I don't reboot my phone once I'm happy with the software installed.

Well, Cap'n Ron in the Watering Hole is waiting on a go-ahead to 2.2. I advised him to stay n 1.9 until we had a proven ROM past that. Your experience is encouraging (so far)... let's see how it runs for a few hours.

Of course, in a few hours 2.3 and 2.4 might be out :p

Yeah if someone is waiting and is still on 1.9 then I'd be more prone to waiting 24 hours or so till reports come in on it's stability.

I just flash it because I can. I was perfectly content with 1.9, the opportunity just arose ya know!

And tell Cap'n hi for me would ya ;)

Every time I dirty flash, I have issues so I tend to clean flash! :p:smokingsomb:

That said, GPS was working etc. DSP force closes as it always does, no biggy. I kill it in Root Explorer.

However I dunno, not really feeling it. I struggle with volume level and Lightflow being wonky so for now, I am restoring back to ICS. LOL!

I know what you mean. I'm a clean flash freak...have gotten used to it with AOKP. But with these JB ports it's like CM nightlies...they're working off the same stuff (where it originated from) and there is nothing else out there to work from. So dirty flashes are "more OK" than ever before imo.

Hey at least you're getting the best practice flashing and restoring...you're a pro dude!

No luck for me, still the same soft speaker. Can you point me in the direction of the thread thats from Chief.

I installed but I don't have a look screen and apps are missing and not working. What did I do wrong? Noob here in trouble :)

Maybe it is because I didn't install a kernel?
