[Verizon] [ROM]JDX (formerly Jelly Belly) AOSP+ - v15 (7/28)

I've run into a major issue with 3.4. My phone random rebooted, and now is bootlooping. I tried clean flashing the build again, but it keeps failing. Restoring a nandroid keeps failing during restoring data. Looks like I have to flash back to stock.

What other settings/mods have you tweaked/added?

i feel your pain

that happened to me on the V5 port build

i hope you saved a nandroid remotely for after you flash back to stock...i had not

OK, tested it out. Nav works fine. It does not say the road names (I didn't check any settings) it just says turned left or turn right...but it is working accurately.

Spit.

Everyone on Rootz is recommending a full wipe and a re-install. I don't wanna! :(

I'll wait for your input and see if you have the same issue. If not, then wipe I shall

Ah, the price we pay for being on the bleeding edge of technology here...
Nav worked great 100% perfect says all road names etc... Re-installing CWM touch though have had some random issues and it all started with twrp. Re-installing 3.4 with cwm this time @ the pet store grabbing some shampoo for my girl :p

Back up and running. Don't know what happened, but it's fine now. My screen brightness wasn't acting right, power control widget wasn't working right, sounds weren't working right...clean flashed with cwm and all is back to normal. All while shopping at the pet store not bad :D

Well I went out again and I noticed that I can't seem to stay locked in on the data signal at times. Maybe it's an actual weakness in the signal it's pulling in, but when it shows me having 2 bars of 3g data, the 3g will keep turning off and on, off and on. Doesn't change from being blue or anything, just shows a drop of it. Usually in this same area I can keep a strong 3g connection though, so that's what has me wondering...

Has it always done this? Even before you were on JB? Have you flashed different radios?

Never done it before with the previous JB roms or ICS. As far as radios go, I'm still using the FC04/FC05 radios. I'm just going to try and go back to an earlier version of JB to see if I still have the same fluctuation with the signal.

Sounds good that is a good troubleshoot idea

Your making me second guess my recent upgrade to twrp. I may have to go back to cwm if that seems to be the more stable. Anyone else have an opinion?

I'm on TWRP and Ginny recites street names for me. I cannot understand what the recovery partition would have to do with a system app... especially since you're wiping/formatting /system every time you flash a ROM.

It has performed quite admirably for me.

No probs with nav here. I did have to manually load Maps though (and Google Voice as well). Evidently their missing was a side effect of all the dirty flashes I did. :D

But all is well here. I can't think of anything that is not working. I've had zero random reboots or other problems so far (IBT knocks on wood). I love the fact that I can just say navigate to x and it starts right off, doesn't even check to see if that's what I wanted. Which could be bad except it's been dead on every time with my desired location. I feel VERY sorry for those who get a dumbed down version that doesn't use current location. That's the key to the whole thing!

Go ahead, the Nav Lady issue is FIXED!

Just took a 2 mile test drive. I cleared Maps data in Settings, re-booted the phone for good luck and she got me all the way home.

Flash away, Bud!

I think we need a name for the Nav Lady. On ICS, I think her name was Maude. She sounded really old.

It's easy to go back to cwm5802 touch I did it while out shopping for my dog.

Many people use twrp and don't have issues. If I had to put my finger on what I believe it was that caused my issue it would be this: I'm used to cwm and my wiping methods. I'm not on twrp (although I use on the wifes kindle fire). My first issue on any JB arose after using twrp. I don't think it was twrps's fault at all, but rather my inexperience using it for a wipe. Just a guess. Back to cwm touch 5802 and staying :)
