[Verizon] [ROM]JDX (formerly Jelly Belly) AOSP+ - v15 (7/28)

Can someone please check if purchased movies in Play Movies work for them? It doesn't for me :( I'd like to know if it's a problem on my end

May sound silly, but how do I know if the bootloader updated? I flashed the file from your dropbox Chief, but is there a way I can tell it worked for sure? Or just the fact that it flashed and it booted, means it worked?

I posted this over in the S3 thread, but thought a lot of you might not see it. So, I'm posting a copy of it here. This is my test of the S3 today. This is Jellybean related, since I am running Jellybean 3.4 on my Gnex. :)

I just dropped by the local Verizon Company store and tested my Gnex side by side with the new S3 and I will have to say I was blown away by my Gnex. The VZW rep was talking big about how the S3 had the new 4.0 OS and I told him I was running 4.1. Then I showed him and his jaw dropped...he couldn't believe it.:D

Then I tested the phones side by side. I tested loading the app draw on both of them, loading Google Maps, web browser and a few other identical apps and my Gnex loaded faster every time...sometimes much faster than the S3. Also, I was getting 4 full bars on my 3G signal on my Gnex and the S3 was only getting 3 bars. Didn't check the dbm, sorry, didn't have that much time.

So, bottom line. I really wanted to get an S3 when I first read about them. But now, my GNex runs circles around it :p

NOTE: I am not overclocked. I am running 4.1.1 with Franco's kernel and stock settings on it.

It worked Dad :)

I really don't know how to check it... it's one of those "faith" things for me

EDIT: Stand by - beta testing in progress for 3.5!

one issue I've run into:

i had only been running 4g, so decided to run Wi-Fi

if I'm on Wi-Fi and the screen shuts off and i leave it for a bit when i turn it back on Wi-Fi either takes a bit too come back on or doesn't at all and i have to toggle it back on

any fixes for this?

I will add it today and thank you. I'm always hesitant to add mods that I don't try or use but you gave such a good explicative post on it I think its a worthy mod that many would want. Appreciate your feedback Ryan :)

Have you tried to install these? I'm not having any luck with the gmail install. I must be doing something wrong. The thread says to install it just like any other apk but it fails due to another app with the same name being installed. I'm guessing the original gmail.

What should I do?

Y'all, to check your boot loader just turn your phone off and boot up using the volume rocker + power button combo. If you've updated to the JB btldr it will read PRIMELC03. Chief lol :p

I haven't experienced that ever on JB or ICS. Forget the network and re-add it maybe? You running any kernel mods that alter WiFi power states I know you're on Franco and his can do that ...

No I like my apps non-inverted or regular. I haven't read the post Ryan linked been working all day :(

I'll check it out tonight, but often installing apk and them not working is incorrect permissions.

Am I the only one using TWRP still? Sounds like all the new users went back to CWM.

I went back but only because cwm 5802 touch has worked 100% perfect always for me. Its what I am used to and I'm comfortable with. Will be staying for the duration :)

Use what you like and you are comfortable with nothing wrong with twrp.

Well, updated and everything was going well. turned on wifi, and now it has gone into a bootloop. It rebooted itself. Get's back to the main lockscreen, then reboots to the google x again. Over and over again... ugh...

This is what I'm getting. I went into twrp and fixed permissions and then tried...same result.

Are you using the 7-13 gapps? Try this: wipe cache/dalvik, flash gapps 7-13, then in "Advanced" Fix Permissions. Reboot.

There is no reason why Play would not be installed.

If THAT doesn't work, I might suggest flashing the 7-12 gapps.

Did everything all over again. This time I cleared wiped the partitions. I don't know if that did it but it is working...for now!

Now - why didn't all my apps reinstall auto-magically? they typically do that right after I sign in. They didn't do it this time. And yes, I did select the box at the beginning for Google to restore everything.

Titanium Backup is your friend. Worth far more than the cost.

Others are complaining about Play not auto-restoring. Not sure what's up with that...

EDIT: BTW if you want to see what willjay's mods look like (battery and soft keys mod), here it is:

It looks positively gorgeous on my phone! Make it the last thing you flash :)
