[Verizon] [ROM]JDX (formerly Jelly Belly) AOSP+ - v15 (7/28)

There are so many little improvements that Jellybean has that go overlooked...clock centering when charged, being able to tap a contact in messaging once it's already addressed to change which number to send it to, gosh I love it. With the gummy battery, the power menu for 3.4 that Jake put up yesterday, and the new Power Controls in the notification shade, there's really no reason not to enjoy

Edit: Ignore the clock centering when charged...the power menu he put up must've centered the clock as well but it wasn't mentioned...not that I'm complaining though!

Wow, fail, finally decided to download 3.4, JB bootloader, and 7/13 Gapps, and ALL MD5s were incorrect.

Hold on, Anti, I'm setting up a Dropbox folder and all my files MD5s checked out...

Okay, let's TRY this:

I'm brand new to Dropbox, so be gentle if it doesn't work :)

EDIT: As a disclaimer, I have not flashed gapps 7-13 so YOU be the guinea pig :p

Sorry Anti...

FWIW...I went through a soft brick two nights ago...luckily I pulled my files from my SD before a complete wipe of my entire phone back to stock 4.0.4...now I am back in action with JellyBelly 3.4. I am staying here until AOKP Jelly Bean!

Android 4.1.1 FTW!

I have hesitated to jump to any of the AOSP JB ROM's because of the seemingly instability that people are having. I know it seems to be random, but JellyBelly 2.5 has been so solid for me, that I have yet to feel the need to change.

JBDAN, I know you stayed on 2.5 for the longest as well. Is it worth the upgrade? Do I have to update the bootloader to move on to these new ROM's?

I have had a daily driver in 2.5, that i haven't wanted to chance it.

Hey, if anybody here - including you lurkers, and we KNOW you're here! - successfully used my dropbox folder, please let me know so I can heave a heavy sigh of relief :)

Chief, The circle battery and the Power Menu, are those for 3.4? Or were those from a previous version?

The Circle Battery is the same one I've always used and it still works for me. Beautifully. This is the "Enhanced" power menu mod, that looks the same so I imagine the "enhancements" are in the code.

Well I just got 3.4 from a different mirror, checking MD5 now, if its no good I will grab it from you, thanks regardless Chief!

MD5 was good from that one... Downloading Gapps and JB bootloader from your dropbox though :)

Chief I wouldn't recommend using mods from old versions...all those speed and stability improvements are largely in part due to framework from what I understand...Jake posted 3.4 compatible mods in the OP yesterday...I recommend replacing the ones in your DB with them :)

I tried a version or two but always went back to 2.4 b/c it was stable for me. 3.4 is the next safe stepping stone it seems.

The only issue i really have is that Swype doesn't auto space on web text boxes.

Wow... it's so hard to keep up with this all. There's a 7/13 gapps? Let me go look. :)

Your Gapps and JB Bootloader check out good Chief, thanks!

Question, will I be able to do a Nandroid restore after I flash the JB bootloader, if the back-up has the old one?

My in call speakerphone isnt working on 3.4 with 7-12 gapps. Has anyone else had this problem or know of a fix?

Nevermind. Found this on rootz and it worked: "Speakerphone clears itself up. Just dial vm and move the volume up and down a few times while on speaker phone."

Ah spit. I'm hesitant to post things I haven't flashed and checked out. But just for you, I replaced the old 1% circle battery mad with the Fast Soft Keys/Circle Battery mod for 3.4 :)

Experiencing some minor-ish bugs 3.4 a+ gapps 7/12 after clean flashing from AOKP M6 yesterday. Wiping clean and flashing 3.4 + gapps 7/13 right now.

Tough call. You could experience instability on any upgrade no matter how good I or others are having it. 3.4 is noticeably faster and smoother than 2.5 to me, but I have had some minor quirks with my first clean flash of 3.4. I think it was due to me trying twrp though. 2.5 was/is super solid. Its up to you and if you want to re-set up your phone. 3.4 is a logical step forward. Nan droid your 2.5 and try 3.4. Restore if you need to :)

I agree patriot there are so many little enhancements its crazy good. One I like is no more autkbrightness lag when unlocking. Another huge one for me is backing out of apps. The back button registers every quick tap unlike ICS its killer. The response is amazing and reacts to your every input like lightening!

Wipe Wipe WIPE! I recommend FORMATTING the partitions. I use Super Wipe, but now there's talk that it's a very old script. Worked for me... but I'd love to see a developer write a zip file that formats data, cache, dalvik and system on the Galaxy Nexus...

*hint hint*

Thanks for posting the solution to that! I haven't kept up with rootz, so I missed the fix...thought my speaker might be blown when it wouldn't work. All working now

I am really diligent wiper, I've actually never dirty flashed anything. One thing I'm new to though is format\system, data, and cache. Do you format all 3 of these?
