[Verizon] [ROM]JDX (formerly Jelly Belly) AOSP+ - v15 (7/28)

Which V2 version is everyone having the best luck with, since there are two variants posted? I think for now I'm going to stay away from V3, since some have reported a few issues.

I strongly recommend staying away from V3. While it may be working for some or even most, unless you want or have time to completely restore your phone to an unrooted, locked state and start from scratch, I don't recommend it.

I've upgraded from 2.0 > 2.1 > 3.0, all dirty installs and I couldn't be happier. It's a shame there have been one or two folks with problems. Is it possible they got a corrupted DL??

Which versions are you installing? Team Liquid/Vicious or VanirBEAN?

V2.1 is the version with the fix for WiFi signal strength.

I just noticed that they changed the way widgets are displayed in the app drawer. Personally, I think that the new way looks kind of ugly (widgets are blown up and off center).

I like you jbdan, use Clockwork Recovery Touch from Koush. I did a full wipe from the start and had issues. Then dirty flashed v3 had issues. Did another full wipe, had issues. Tried to restore AOKP and it failed. It would only boot back into JB. I wiped and formatted everything, no go. Also my text messages were not working. They would get "Sent" but no one would get my messages.

JB looks nice and I like the improvments that they have made, but there is something fubar with this rom for some of us. More folks on rootz are having the same issues as me and VoidedSaint, check it out. Its not as if either of us are n00bs to flashing roms either.

I had to go all the way back to 4.0.2 stock to get my phone working. So at this point in time, I am not going to mess with JB any more. I am now back on AOKP b40 and things are running smooth! Thank you Lord!

However, if someone could pull the stock JB wallpaper and hook me up, Id appreciate it. Twas a nice change for me and kinda liked it. In no way shape or form was your post non informative by the way. Heck flashing roms is always at your own risk. This is the first time I've ever had any issues with flashing a rom on this device. Stinks but what can you do?

I will wait until the source code drops and the devs get their hands on it. Then I will be back when these issues have been sorted out. Thanks as always for your help! :)

I'm experiencing the brick problems a few others are. Even worse for me, my computer decided to crap the bed and my either my drivers are all borked, or something really crazy is going on with my USB stuff in general.

As soon as anything touched the front USB port on my PC it would shut off. I did some surgery and took out a bunch of dust all over but it's still not working. Keyboard and mouse work fine, even though they did cut out for a little bit the first time I tried rebooting the PC after the crash. Also, when I went to unplug the USB charger it was crazy hot and burned my finger.

The technology gods are not with me tonight.

EDIT: And I'm sick.

For anyone currently on v2.1: have you found any fixes for GPS? I can't get GPS to lock when Navigating.
I haven't tried GPS yet (duh can't believe I haven't :p)

So is it safe to say that the most stable build is 2.1 with the wifi fix? Seeing as today was my birthday, I shouldn't be wiping under the influence :) but happy birthday to me tomorrow this gets loaded up

Yes the one listed in the OP with the added wifi fix. The thread is by AshG and he gives flash instructions. Just read everything (if you can see straight :p) and a large Happy B-day shout out to ya! :birthday:

Did a complete wipe yesterday for the install. Got concerned when it sat at the Google logo so long after my first manual reboot. Besides the longer time to boot this has been great. No issues for me on version 3.
