So now these roms are morphing phones into gsm models....what next...

Which version did you flash?
And cheers  to hoping those who have issues get them resolved asap
just curious here. What is the status of the following on this rom:
bluetooth (didn't test)
wifi (I was on Liquid's v1, had to apply the wifi fix. Then it was great.)
4g/3g handoff (equal or better than ICS I thought)
nfc (didn't test)
gps (excellent. and the voice search integrates it to perfection.)
Thanks
No sir!Tried GPS yet JB?
I highly doubt that, but we'll see. That could be an annoyance down the road if they now think that we're gsm nexus phones now. This version if JB was only a preview and when the real ota comes out for the real version, some people might take it if it's offered and create problems/bricks.
I list in the OP how to boot into recovery (the volume/power boot from off), then restore your backup.I installed V3 with no issues, however I want to go back to AOKP 40, but I am nervous after reading so many issues. There are things that don't work like media player, Apex launcher, etc., that make JB worthless for me at the time until developers have the time to update (and source code).
Any advice?
I'm not familiar with that one. I only know the ones on rootzwiki and there are 3. So what version/ROM does Droidlife have?Ummmmmmm???
The one from Droid Life
My comments in red. The wifi fix may already be applied to the new version. I did end up reverting back to BAMF tonight but it's daily driver material. I just missed some small things...extended reboot options, BAMF settings, ability to separate ringtone/notification volume, etc. Also the volume is back to the old more muted level from the early days and Volume + doesn't seem to help on JB. It's good stuff though for being this early and I'm sure many people will stay on it until code is released and roms are updated.
Well, I just got a random reboot FIrst one I have had in months. Was listening to Google Music (local music), song ended, next one didn't start, looked over, and it was on boot animation.
anyone else recieve an email from google congratulating you on activating your Galaxy nexus GSM version after flashing? weird lol
UPDATE:
My computer USB issue was because the cats had chewed through my regular cable, causing it to short out or something , get really hot, and reboot the computer. Got a new cable, and usb debugging works fantastically. Copied my TiBu and all's good.
Just tried rebooting, using the Liquid V2. It took a while, but it all booted and was fine. WiFi works fine and all is right with the world.
Thanks for all the help and insight.

And you came from stock 4.0.4 right?
Have you had a chance to restore a/your nandroid since you've flashed JB? Was curious.
No, I flashed v2.1 and haven't looked back... why? I will be honest, I don't really understand why restoring a nandroid then flashing JB again is beneficial. I am not an expert flasher by any means.
Just curious but does a complete wipe mean I'm going to lose my files (pictures, videos, music, etc...)? Should I back those up as well?
I highly doubt that, but we'll see.
