[Verizon] [ROM]JDX (formerly Jelly Belly) AOSP+ - v15 (7/28)

I didn't notice my battery life taking a hit until just recently. it is definitely worse than when I was on ics. Im only syncing contacts and have GPS turned off.
anyone have any ideas on an app that'll assist in tracking down a battery drain?

cpu spy and better battery stats

Thanks for this. CPU SPY is telling me that total state time is 1:48:56 and deep sleep is 82%.
Can't say I think that 3.6 JB batt life is any better than stock ICS, but it isn't any worse either... (Not a big fan of either at this point).

Anyone having problems with "sticky" settings? I tried turning off "Make Passwords Visible" but it just stays on. Similarly, tried changing the ringtone, but no matter what I select it stays on Flutey Phone.

Not a deal breaker, but kind of annoying...

This is on a clean flash of 3.6.

Have you rebooted?

Advice from Rootz:

If you're having seriously bad battery life, check Google Now settings. Things like traffic and local locations are polling almost constantly and sucking down battery. I've now turned those off and we'll see if battery life improves.

Bet it will :)

Anyone else running into network connectivity issues? Searched and haven't noticed any.

Mine is refusing to connect to wi-fi or 3g at all (no 4g in my area). Worked for the first hour though.

Flashed 3.6 earlier today, came from 2.6. I wiped dalvik cache, cache, factory wipe, etc. Loaded apps and data from titanium backup.

By Data do you mean app data or system data. You dont want to restore SYSTEM DATA with titanium, but app data is ok.

I am in Santa Barbara, CA, and not currently having any network issues. I am able to log in to wifi, and to both 4g and 3g. And the handoffs seem to be very quick.

I am on 3.6, with the stock kernal and a few color mods.

OK so earlier I was talking about Google now not working for the weather. It seems to be a Google now problem and not a ROM problem. The ROM runs great so far. Version 3.6 here. The weather works sometimes and sometimes it doesn't so I am pretty sure it is a Google problem.

Oh, I did restore system and app data... whoops!

Would the best solution be to do a clean re-flashing of the ROM and then restore ONLY app data?

Also, for future reference, I only want to restore app data when upgrading to very similar ROM, correct? For example, it would be bad to restore app data if I update from this ROM to say, the next version of AOKP?

Thanks!

I would clean wipe and re-flash.

I restore app + data (save for Google Wallet, which is app only) no matter what ROM I'm coming from/going to, and haven't had any issues.

I've been using GNow all day just like I always have. No random battery drain and weather, nav, sports team, and calendar appts all working swell. At 11 hrs all 4g today 22% battery left.

I must be doing something wrong... this thing is wearing out on me fast!

3.6 has been incredibly good for me coming from a clean flash in CWM 5802 touch. So good there is nothing to post about it, it just works. :p

Wait....I do have one issue. Wanted to try Nova again and it will not remain as the default browser unless I uninstall the built in launcher. Weirdness I say...

I'm in a powerful 4G/cell area too. Verizon owns this whole area (which means they own ME). Sprint's "Fair" signal ends a mile from our house according to their coverage map.

SO it's not the radios - I am still on the EKxx radios... should I flash the new FCxx ones maybe?

Otherwise, troubleshooting will continue if I can ever quit doing surgery on the phone with all this flashing and setting up. That kind of skews the whole thing...

Also jb lives and works directly under a 4G tower, so that may have some effect ;)
lol I wish. My signal meter at home on the battery graph is all faded yellow and bright yellow  but it still works.

Presently, my job location for the next 3 weeks (starting today) it is 4G, but solid yellow on the graph and hovers around -110 to -120 dbm all day.

Yeah, I am just used to not getting a decent data connection. My 3G won't even work at all between 10am and 11am or between 1:30pm-2:30pm due to network overload. Verizon needs to add another cell Site next to my window.

Now that stinks. Can't you use something like this?
