First time I went to Japan I'd been living in Singapore for like 3 years, eating Chinese food pretty much every day. And I was never much of a fan of Chinese food. I went to Yokohama which is famous in Japan for having the largest China town. Guess where I was taken for lunch on my first day ..?
 
Naah... he better is not :D He went to Thailand and Cambodia as well.

And since hardly anyone is wearing those clogs anymore I prefer Dutchies :cool:

I got issued with clogs when I worked in a sausage factory in Holland .. admittedly that was many years ago ..

I really should speak a lot more given I also lived in Belgium for years where they speak .. something similar to Dutch only less easy to understand. At least, less easy to understand than the Dutch where I was near Dem Bosch.

The problem with learning Dutch is that everyone speaks better English than I do: you make one tiny mistake and they immediately take pity and switch :)

(Sorry for the Dutch folks, but he's gotta maintain his languages a little. Asking how ST got in the Netherlands in the first place.)

Nope - I'm originally from Newcastle (the last outpost of civilisation* before you reach Scotland ;)) but I have lived around London for quite some time .. just not necessarily all in one stretch :)


* I know Newcastle and Civilisation aren't often found in the same sentence, before anyone gets on my case :)
 
Speaking of cheesy bacon... When I was a kid our local market.. a mom and pop shop sold a cheese bacon. It was in their display like all of the luncheon meats as it was back in the day. The cheese had a smoky bacon flavor and was chucked full of real bits of bacon. I have no idea where they got the wheels they sold but man it was so darn good.
