Yep, found the Terminal Emulator but forgot about the "su" command and kept getting "Permission denied" or something, so I had to go look it up, haha... got it now and it worked.

In fact, MMS now works in both the stock messaging app AND in Handcent... so, problem solved! Thanks! :D
 
Handcent should have worked with the original patch. It didn't for everyone though.... Did for me, for what that's worth. The latest patch was for the default Messaging client.

I thought so too but it didn't work for me... It would just sit there not doing anything, spinning that little circle, when I tried to send a picture. I could receive them just fine though. But now both work in both directions, so I'm fine :D

In all seriousness, I know it's just a phone, but I do use the camera a lot, or try to. Having to reboot because of too many FCs from the phone will make me look at other options.

How many pictures before an FC ? I have just snapped 20+ before typing this with no trouble. Not to say you dont have something going on. i just finished a completely new set up because I lost my nands. Also have you removed either of the gallery apps ? i take out the 3DGallery as I feel the standard is snappier.


I don't know if that has an effect but I can see where it would.

I love WW it's THE ROM for me :D

but the only issue i've had w/ the camera is after uploading a video to youtube or Facebook, the quality is HORRIBLE! lol

It looks like I've recorded w/ some kind of 1990's camcorder :confused:

If you want to see go to youtube and search for "Trevor Ford - Be still"
 
So now that the MMS works. (Thank you all who worked on this !!!!!!). I can pull Handcent. This is even more perfect. Fast and light.

Maybe we should call it White Widow 4.5 "The Phoenix" . I think we all now why.

I'm positive I've never been able to take anywhere near (20). In fact, I've never taken that many pictures in any short timeframe (with or without WW). It's occurred after taking just one or two pics...

It could be a camera that's dying, for all I know. I've tried different camera apps and they FC too. I suspect the camera apps don't talk directly to the camera though and have to go through some part of Android and am hoping that's where the issue might be.

I did remove the non-3D Gallery app. I can't say for sure but it seemed as though the camera worked okay for a while... Not sure if removing that Gallery could have caused this or not or if the timing coincides.

You could try flashing back over and remove the 3DGallery app. I leave the stock one and it very well maybe tied to the camera. Just speculating and Andrizoid may have more to add but it may be worth a shot.

and i agree, this should be handled via PM. no matter how much you dislike andrizoid or how anything has effected you personally, all this bickering on threads is killing the users trying to get actual information on the ROM. or even just start a flame war thread. :)
 
ive been asked to remove lookout from the optional installs pack and add that i used darchstars vendor tree. im removing the link to 4.5 for a bit till i get a chance to re-up the new version.
