Maybe I'm just lucky but my phone has only gotten better with each update, from B08 to B12 and from B12 to B14. B12 removed data connection problems and screen glitches, and B14 made it more responsive. I still have the flashlight toggle bug, and multitouch isn't great, but I think that's about it. Has your friend tried clearing cache, either through settings or through recovery?

I told him to factory reset but he don't want to lose old text messages and other stuff..

If you use the unlock phone which I did for the first time, in available networks, I see they added At&t and Verizon as options.

If you have been with metro for 90 days or more that unlock phone app should work.

I used a friend sim and did both our zmp.. mine says home for network but it's on tracfone.. the plan said 1gb 4g a month but I get it per day..

I've used the metro sim unlock on a few devices. From what I hear it works on most but not all. I tried to set the device date and time forward on the zmax pro and tried the unlock. No dice. Didn't work. That kind of of simplicity in Android Security hacks/tricks are long long gone. I enjoy trying to root and hack Android. Using a developer tool etc is easy. Can't wait till I can write successful root etc

Yap proof that EVERY update has different effect on phones. It's freaking unreal. Never gamed hard on my phone before so never experienced that. I did experienced the overheating while charging after b12 update though. But only once, then it never happened again. Hopefully it's the same for you. Unless you are a hard core gamer and your phone is plugged in while playing? ALL my cheap tablets overheat like that. So I am sure this cheap phone is no exception.

I also charge usually at 30%, 20%.

Best buy has Huawei honor 5x on sale . I picked up because of root. I have to say it's my first Huawei device and I'm impressed. Went to the manufacturer website to unlock bootloader it was so easy . Root,Xposed with lienage OS or cm13. The Zmp was a really nice phone IMO but I can't deal with it being so locked down. Never again ZTE

I cant get the downloader to work. The no commercial unlimited skips works.
O.G. YouTube works great. There's root/no root versions and a sign in fix apk too. Can download videos in mp3 too

You can't remove it but you can disable it. Go into your Apps menu and just disable the apps you don't like. I disabled Lookout and a bunch of other garbage that I don't need.

On B08 and B12 I'd get the occasional stuck on black screen but B14 fixed it and then some
