Google pay and 3rd party lock screen?

I was referring to China where he lives.

I thought I'd try it out so I could take only one thing instead of two with me. But it doesn't work. Maybe the transmitter's broken in mine, it is 2nd hand. I'm not stupid enough to pay new Samsung prices! It would have been interesting if I didn't have the card aswell.... well it was only the vet I've used for 20 years I guess they would have let me pay later. Or actually they probably would have taken a bank transfer - now that's something a phone is handy for. I used it to pay someone privately (I don't mean sneakily, I mean not a shop) when buying parrots without the hassle of getting out a tonne of cash.

File Transfer

Also: NEVER MOVE FILES! Always always always copy files. Since you're backing up, that's probably what you'll be doing - so many users, however, will try to move hundreds of photos, videos or other important files at a time. If something interrupts the move, or a bit drops somewhere and corrupts the process, many times the files involved are lost forever. If someone is moving things or archiving files, they are well advised to copy the files to the destination; make sure the files copied correctly; disconnect the source and then delete the source files.

Transfer limits of an internal/non-portable MicroSD card?

The connectivity issue sounds like mine at home, or at least similar.

My guess with that is that your home wi-fi is using 5Ghz, while your friend and Starbucks is using 2.4Ghz.

Most likely, your Android 7 is not compatible with 5Ghz wi-fi.

Anyway, to be safe, I would COPY the files to a (any) folder that is in the real (device) internal memory before MOVING them, especially those important ones.

That way a glitch during transfer won't destroy the file.

If there is not enough room for all of the files to be copied, then it would need to be done in chunks.

Also, having the files in the real (unencrypted) memory may make them able to be seen with your PC.

At the very least, you could go to your friend's house (or anywhere else that the wi-fi will link) and transfer files there- even if it is just from one phone to another, that's better than nothing- and you can transfer the files to the PC later.

Advice for new sd card

When you insert the card and turn on your device, you may be asked if you want the card to be used as internal or external memory.

You want external.

When you make the selection, the card will then be formatted.

Then go into Storage, choose the card, and see if you can format it.
Do it at least twice (3x total) in my opinion.

Settings
Storage
SD card
Overflow (3 dots, upper right)
Storage settings
Format

(Not sure if the above is complete, because I did not want to risk tapping Format- this is not a blank card in here, lol.)

Lock screen Clock position change (Android 9)?

Are you blocking the front camera for a reason?

If so, I know of an electonical fix for that, as an app that blocks unauthorized use of the camera(s).

https://cloudapks.com/app/com.introneapps.pandroidcamera/
(This app is on all of my devices, but doesn't work properly on my most recent. To see if it works right, set it up, turn it on (blocking), and then open the camera app. If all you get is a black screen with an error message or a frozen single frame, then it works!)

I also know of one that works for the microphone.

Also, check around for different launchers that allow you to move the clock widget around on the screen.

Ahhhhhoy

Bump:

So my mother wants to head out east pretty soon after she does return, and I kind of want some time away from that place, intentionally by automatically accident it does crawl out of the feed and making my own soul, just crashes instead of survive though, to be honest, I want one with my girl though and just a perfect pitch away from it, she has been waiting like forever and ever, still I keep telling her family. "Hey to be perfectly honest, I just do want her to be happy, without having a few step daughters I never ever met up with anyone." Still they are in good hands with my sister-in-laws (Soon to be) and I cannot inbox her, why because I am just straight up afraid of everything. Even though I did give her brother in my contact information five times, I can see the pattern just flawed and as it just leaked out the open arena of battling right through the head like, and still not being to understand the troubles it can walk through the tiny pin holes of the net though, I love her siblings though but never met her kids.
I am stepping away before anything.

So back with my mother, well I want to see my cousin's kids again, had so much fun the last time with digging through beeds that connect in water, and smiling with his wife too, just in the air of things just a path of brighten ideas over, still this will probably be alright for the time being..

(why is there always three Earth's I have to walk on?)

Media App to Show Metadata

Hi all, I am trying develop an app to show currently playing media's metadata on a TextView. I will connect two Android devices via Bluetooth (my phone and a tablet). The tablet will run my app and the phone will play music. The app will show the song title and the artist information (independent from the media player app e.g. Spotify, YouTube Music etc.) on their respective "TextView"s. At this point, I am just trying to acquire and show the media metadata on my phone. I tried MediaSessionController and NotificationListener so far but I couldn't achieve my goal. How can I get the media metadata? Also, I plan to move on to the Bluetooth part after acquiring the song title. Is this approach logical? Any suggestions will be appreciated.

[Free][APP] Boxing Interaval Timer

My new Boxing Timer app has been released. This app was originally conceived as a multifunctional martial arts interval timer. Wide settings, timer control in gloves, if it is not possible to press it with your hands (through the proximity sensor), work in the background, the ability to set any time and any intervals, voice rounds and many more very useful features not only for martial arts, but also for running, walking and any physical activity.
The app has a premium version. Each reader of this forum who will contact the mail in the application description will receive a promotional code for a free subscription. And yet, I will be very grateful to everyone who puts 5 stars to the application. This will help me a lot. Thank you)

Help Need help with a bush10onu tablet. Fully charged won't turn on

Hello all. It has been some time about 2 years I did put this tablet away for a while and didn't bother with it until now.
The better is on its way out and I had it on for like 10 mins while doing some other checks and used 10 percent of the battery
But I have also found another problem. The buttons that are for power and volume and what I can see gone the don't work I managed to turn it on by carefully touching the two pins on the plug on the board and it worked OK but I will try and see if I cam get a replacement buttons board. It's a little but the board has gone to like paper kind of feel. I would just throught I would let you all know tho. Will update you if I get it running with the new board

Backup for factory reset

I am using an Umidigi A9 pro phone with 128G of storage and Android 10. I want to do a factory reset to fix some problem and to get rid of many unused or junk applications. There are many entries on the web about backup and restore for factory reset. But I want to clarify a couple of things before I start the factory reset.
1. Most entries on the web suggest backup the phone to Google account before the reset. But a Google account only have 15G of free cloud storage. I have already used 70G out of the 128G storage. If I do not want to purchase storage from Google, is there any easy way to backup all Apps and storage data to PC and allow a easy restore to the phone after the reset ?
2. It looks simple that if I backup to a Google account, I can just restore by specifying the account and it will magically restore using the backup data stored under that account. But restoring from Google account backup data seems to be a complete restore. This will not help to get rid of many unused or junk applications. Is there any way that I can do selective restore (i.e. just restore what I need) ?

Help BASIC A 12 tutorial for new user?

Well Android does dominate over Apple in the world market, something like 75% to 25%, but here in America iPhones have something like a 55% lead over Android's 45%. Even if you exclude the U.S. aberration with its really high profit margins and focus just on the world market don't forget that Android's bigger numbers are based on low to mid-range phones with their inherent low profit margins. Apple does adjust its pricing to be in accordance with a country's standard of living but on average Apple's profit margin numbers are still higher than with Android phones. So yeah, it's nice to know Android is leading in numbers of phones but Apple is making a lot more money just doing what it's been doing.

On speaker phone, screen blacks out and call drops

1. When I make a call on speaker phone and hold it in front of my mouth, after a few seconds the screen will black out. How do I prevent this?

2. Also, when I make a call in front of my computer, many times my calls will drop. If I make a call from the living room, no dropped calls. Could Wi-fi signals interfere with cell phone signals and cause calls to drop? On the other hand, I have noticed that when the other person can't hear me, this seems to occur right after the screen blacks out. What is could be causing the dropped calls? This happens quite frequently.
1.maybe try adjusting your screen timeout. or maybe you are holding the phone to close to your mouth that the phone thinks you have it next to your head and thus shuts the screen off.

2.have you tried using wifi calling?

Pixel 6 Pro

I thought the little green light indicates that an app was using the camera and/or the microphone?

You are partially correct and so was I. When I first started using my phone, the green light was constantly on and driving me crazy. The longer I used the phone, the less I saw the green light. As of now, I almost never see the light. However, you are correct too. There are different green lights, differentiated by the icon within it. The microphone and camera do illicit the light with their own icons. I'm not sure which icon the light had in the beginning. If I had to guess, I'd say a battery. (If anyone knows for sure, please correct me)
I hope this helps.

Help Strange things are even worst..

hey @Milo Williamson i'm not sure i understand what the problem is that you are having. are you talking about your homescreen? what launcher are you using?
No home screen but the app that is built in called "Moto" that allows you to customized everything, the app itself, I can do themses on it really easy but if I do the "long" customization part like go to the text, it saids it on the main page, somehow suddenly I am able to customize it just now, but how it just glitches out and have nothing to change it forever. Huh... I was set for screen shots too.
