Are you actually sure you mean "USB tethering" to sync a Windows app with Android? I generally understand that term to mean "sharing the phone's internet connection via USB", which isn't the same as just allowing file transfer between the computer and phone. It's not obvious to me why you'd need USB tethering to sync an app, but of course I don't know what this app does.

Computers generally only use one internet connection at a time, e.g. if I plug my laptop into the wired network in my office it uses that instead of WiFi (which it is also connected to). So the question is, if you connect to both, which one will it use? And if you do have USB tethering running but the ethernet connection taking precedence, it will certainly switch to using the USB internet connection if the ethernet is interrupted.

In any case I agree with others: that screen is saying that some other device, presumably your PC, ran up your data usage via either USB tethering or WiFi hotspot.

Just as a subtle tip, I'd focus on just the actual problem, getting the Opera browser app to open web links you encounter in other apps. Adding in other suppositions just adds confusion and misdirection.

-- Have you tried to just restart your phone? If the rproblem is due to a one-off glitch that just popped up, a simple rebott might be all that's required. If the web link problem is still a problem after a reboot at least you can rule that out.

-- I have doubts the AquaMail app is actually part of the problem. It's just an email client, and it's s a different app that is only relevant to email services. It does not have any web browser capability nor can it manage other apps and/or over-ride the settings and configurations of other apps. When there is an web link in an email message, there's only a very indirect 'link' between the AquaMail app and whichever web browser app. Simply your problem started to occur approximately after you added some email accounts to the AquaMail app does not necessarily mean that's the actual cause of the web link problem itself, a classic corrleation vs causation example::

-- Getting back to the web link problem, part of the problem might be a common Google oversight matter. Just purely anecdotally, on my OnePlus phone running 12 my default web broser is the Firefox Forcus app, and I also need to keep the Chrome app disabled otherwise some, but not all, web links in other apps might trigger Chome instead. And yes, in the Default Apps menu in my phone's Settings menu Firefox Focus is set as the default. The issue being some apps, notably Google services apps, are 'hard-coded' to use the Chrome app, no matter what the Default Apps option is set to use. By Disabling the Chrome app that forces all web links to use my prefered choice.YMMV.
Again, that might part of the problem, there's apparently other factors involved. Try resetting the Opera app and then go through the processs of using a different app to open a web link so you can choose Opera as the default to siee if it sticks this time. -- be sure the Chrome app is Disabled, be sure to backup any saved bookmarks in Opera, then go into the Apps menu and use the Clear data option in the Opera apps linsting. Using Clezr data will remove all of that apps settings/config data, along with its cache essentially returning it back to its original firtt time used state. You;'ll need to do a restore of your email account infor and such so it's definitely an involved task.

Is the screen pointed towards your body or away from your body when it's in your pocket? Pointing the screen away from your body when it's in your pocket seems to cause fewer problems.

Just got a Pixel 8 Pro. Traded in an S9 and got the P8P free. Fantastic phone. 7 years of updates is insane but I'll take it.

There has been no changes in awhile to the system that I could see. However, the punctuation started working again on its own, a couple of days ago. Now the question is why does this seem to happen so often periodically (ha! pun).

Yeah, bloody thing doesn't even let you turn off notifications, never mind disable it (at least on my Samsung). I have turned-off what I can, and got to the point where I don't get notifications from it, but that's all. I don't think you can even force stop it: the button is there, but it doesn't grey out after use so I suspect it does nothing (it might just respawn immediately when you stop it, but being cynical I suspect that it doesn't even stop in the first place).

You could root and stop it, or switch to a ROM without it (if you have ROMs for your phone), but I don't think it's worth doing that just for this app.

Assistant can do more than just search. This is what I was trying to clarify: is it just search you want, or some of its other features as well?

Firefox has a voice search option, but you have to open the browser and tap the icon on the input bar. If you set Google as your search engine I imagine that would trigger a Google search, but I you are looking for constant listening & keyword triggers I don't know how to do that. It should be possible to set a shortcut to open the app itself (I could set a double tap on the power key to do this on my s21), but you'd still have to touch the icon - I don't know a way of opening the app directly and activating voice search in a single shortcut.

It is absolutely stuffed full of really important stuff including the phone calls which I cannot lose, but if I try to back up to Google Drive it will only let me back up 40 or so at a time and it takes hours upon hours. I have in the past managed to put things onto a USB pendrive but the USB port is dodgy and it doesn't always transfer over. If the port breaks then I can't do anything at all obviously as I can't charge it. what is going to be the easiest quickest way for me to get copies of all this stuff? Your phone model supports Nano Memory cards, yes? Do you have one?
Transferring your audio library to a NM card should be quicker than uploading to an online storage service. Then remove the card and copy your audio files to a PC (assuming it has a card slot or you have a USB card adapter).
Otherwise, while 8000 audio files are a pretty significant number of files, a big factor you're leaving out is the file size amount. If these are relatively low-res recordings than each file is going to reflect that in its file size, if these are higher res audio than of course conversely they'll each be a lot larger in file size. Also are they mono or stereo? That among other factors are relevant. The point being the total amount of those 8000 files is dependent on a mystery -- i.e. when it takes hours to upload a batch of 40 files that could mean those are high-res audio files, or it could mean you have a relatively slow broadband or cellular connection. Are you using WiFi (broadband, ISP-based) or mobile data (cellular, carrier-based)?

I went through the same weight loss. I have ESRD so it was too late to avoid dialysis but lost weight and am on 2 kidney transplant lists. My pants are too big as well as my underwear lol. I also am no longer on diabetes meds. As a matter of fact, I have to carry glucose pills or hard candy since my sugar drops! I lost 80 lbs and it made a difference with my diabetes. I have regular sugar levels. now.

As far as fast foods, I can actually eat a burger but it has to be with no cheese. Lettuce, small amount of tomato and onion. I haven't eaten a fast food burger since about 3 years. I cook my own food as any processed food is really bad for those with kidney disease.

join google rewards. Answer a few questions and before you know it, you'll have enough for Nova Prime. I answer so many questions that I rarely have to pay for an app. (yeah, I'm cheap but I will pay with real money if I need the app lol)

i keep my z fold 4 in my pocket and never had any issues with volume. safe mode is the only thing that can determine if this is from an app or not. if you do not want to go that route than you might want to consider doing a factory reset.

What you're attempting to do is not possible, You cannot find out what a password might be by being able to detect a SSID.
The SSID is just an identifier of a WiFi network, and it's a given that a password is a requirement for anyone to receive valid authentication to access that WiFi network. That password is not intrinsically tied a SSID, nor vice-versa -- when anyone sets up a WiFi network, they can name a SSID to their liking and they can use any passord to their liking
(.... well, within established restirctions. i.e. some characters not allowed, or number of character limits.) If you are trying to hack into a WiFi network, your efforts to get its password won't be in its SSID. The authentication routine is done within the source router.
