Computers generally only use one internet connection at a time, e.g. if I plug my laptop into the wired network in my office it uses that instead of WiFi (which it is also connected to). So the question is, if you connect to both, which one will it use? And if you do have USB tethering running but the ethernet connection taking precedence, it will certainly switch to using the USB internet connection if the ethernet is interrupted. If the computer is also connected to the Internet through Ethernet → modem → Internet, doesn't Windows use that connection instead of the smartphone + data plan when it's connected to the computer through USB tethering?
Here's a good one: DDay plus 20: Walter Cronkite interviewed Eisenhower. Amazing stuff! CBS Reports (1964): "D-Day Plus 20 Years - Eisenhower ...YouTube · CBS News1 hour, 22 minutes, 16 secondsJun 5, 2019I probably will not watch Saving Private Ryan, I've seen it many times. That doesn't diminish my respect, admiration, and appreciation for those that stormed the Beaches of Normandy.
Having read more, it seems to me that manufacturers are going down this route, for whatever reason i don't know.
Most consumer products are driven by the features that the actual consumer wants. The exceptions to that are cars, which are driven by government regulations and the cellphone industry which seems to be driven by the manufacturers. It's them that determine what features are there. Gone are the days of replaceable batteries, expandable memory and wired headphones.
Just as a subtle tip, I'd focus on just the actual problem, getting the Opera browser app to open web links you encounter in other apps. Adding in other suppositions just adds confusion and misdirection.Today, on my Samsung Z Fold 5, I can't get email links to open up with Opera, even though when I go go settings (phone settings/apps), all browsers say that Opera is the default browser. This seems to have happened after I added some accounts to Aqua Mail. For now, I got links to stop opening with Chrome by disabling Chrome, but I do not think this is the proper or desired way. Chrome was not disabled on my Z Fold 4 and links opened there Correctly. Possibly dome changes got made in Aqua Mail or in my Google account during the email account additions. Any ideas here??

Heck, I don't know where *I* am, let alone this thread.I didn't even know it was in P&CA... peanut butter gallery out...
There has been no changes in awhile to the system that I could see. However, the punctuation started working again on its own, a couple of days ago. Now the question is why does this seem to happen so often periodically (ha! pun).according to this:
Use advanced voice typing features - Gboard Help
Important: The use of the advanced voice typing features is indicated by the colorful microphone icon during dictation. The text you speak stays on your device and isn’t sent to Google servers exceptsupport.google.com
punctuation is not automatic. if you pause after a sentence, google will put the appropriate punctuation.

Assistant can do more than just search. This is what I was trying to clarify: is it just search you want, or some of its other features as well?I'm looking for another app that is comparable to the features and behavior of Google Assistant, but he key factor is that it will use Firefox as it's vehicle. For instance, when you ask the Google Assistant to look for alternatives for Google Assistant, it will uses the Google/Chrome browser to perform perform it's search and render the results.
Hi I'm not very good on my phone and I need to back up some files, including 8000 or so recorded calls, which I must not lose. It's a Huawei 20x 5G. It is absolutely stuffed full of really important stuff including the phone calls which I cannot lose, but if I try to back up to Google Drive it will only let me back up 40 or so at a time and it takes hours upon hours. I have in the past managed to put things onto a USB pendrive but the USB port is dodgy and it doesn't always transfer over. If the port breaks then I can't do anything at all obviously as I can't charge it. what is going to be the easiest quickest way for me to get copies of all this stuff? I'm terrified of doing something wrong trying to sort it ! Sorry to sound so totally daft.
