I think it would be very difficult to specify which app this comes from. It's very generic and looks just like any other messenger or texting icon. It could literally be from the stock messaging app on the device.

I've been using a flat-head screwdriver for that for decades! No need to even move it. Just stick the tip under the lid--randomly, anywhere--and pull forward. Pop!

Sounds right ... as long as the phone is unlocked. Carriers in the U.S. have gotten better and both unlocking and accepting phones from other carriers.

so i'm in the middle of episode 2. but at the end of episode 1, i had to re-watch the exchange with George Harrison as he nonchalantly quits the band. it was so sudden to me. i think i will have to watch all of episode 1 again to see how George is acting to see if there signs that i missed up until that point. the end where the rest of the band starts jamming when George does not come back after lunch was kind of crazy. the wailing of Ono is very haunting.

I haven't got Newpipe logged-in, and it doesn't immediately show anything that's connected to my googoo YT account, like saved playlists, subscriptions, and my uploaded videos. unless I go looking for them. I guess any views with Newpipe still count towards the number of view statistics though, just like if you were using a browser. It doesn't show any ads though, but then I haven't seen any ads in YT for a couple of years ago, probably because of my VPNs.

I mainly use Newpipe to download videos for classroom English lesson materials, so I can play them from a USB thumb-drive, as YT isn't available on the classroom PCs of course.

You can certainly import a vcf with multiple contacts in it. That's what android contacts apps will produce if you tell them to export their contacts.

I don't know about vcard versions, as I've never had to think about it because I've never met a file that my phone wouldn't import.

Youmail will do what you want. I've tried those other call blockers and they work ok but not the best.

I block any number not in my contact list. I can also change this setting in case I am expecting a call and I don't know the number.

It plays "This number has been disconnected" to spam callers.

You can block rings and voicemails or block one or the other separately.

Well, it happened again even after switching to VNC Viewer. So bVNC was not the problem. It does seem to be happening a lot less now than it had in the past - only every few hours - so maybe something I did improved matters somehow. But I couldn't say what. I stopped using VNC over SSL which might have done something - instead using an SSH tunnel now.

mikedt, yes, it's a carrier version of the phone - Boost installed a bunch of junk apps on it, and so did Samsung.

Maybe it's a hardware problem. I could see if the android system logs say anything. If I care enough then I could try capturing packets to see if anything weird happens at the time the connection drops.

Yes, I have checked my alarm settings: I describe them in the original text. No, I am rather certain there is no specialalarm app. The alarm goes off as in the standard clock settings, but instead of the default sound (which it is set to on Sat/Sun) it plays a song. I already looked at ringtone and notifications directories: the music that is playing is NOT there. The songs are not randomly selected from streaming apps, since the same song plays each Saturday and each Sunday (two different songs,. though). I am going through all the sound ap settings, but so far see nothing.

Oh, the phone is an Asus ROG with Android 10. I am going to update it to 11 now.

I tried this app, in general - suitable for those who want to do editing at a slightly professional quality, but if you need to quickly adjust the levels, you can find a bunch of more convenient alternatives. There`re just so many features that may not fit every photo. My option is the simpler and faster - the better. For example, I really like remove background. It just so happens that I constantly need to change the background for previews. I'm uploading videos to YT and need bright and unique videos. This app does it perfectly in a couple of clicks. So highly recommend it!
