i dont use google, but there used to be a setting that made it so that approval had to be given before apps could be downloaded or purchases made

not sure if it is there anymore

you could disable the download manager app, but that would disable all downloads to the device until it is enabled again

I use a paid Eset which checks/certifies a cert and passes the info to Fx

Mozilla does not always recognize the temp cert and hollars about it.
