my phone was hacked

Did u get this sorted out.?
A would recommend Google authenticator instead of two step verification, with two step u get a txt witch your getting hacked they can divert your calls& txt msg. But with the authenticator they need access to your handset as it generates a o e time pass code, authenticator are the highest level of security for your device u can get.

some people can call me, some cant

nexus 5 or a xperia c6606
Those are both pretty old phones... at least for T-Mobiles current requirement for phones to support VoLTE. Just guessing, but if they don't have VoLTE that might be part of the problem.

You manually cut the sim card...

It can work, but I'd recommend a SIM cutter:

Can phone be hacked to dismount SD card?

Thank you ocnbrze. I edited my original post - obviously after you read it and replied - and explained what I believe happened. And you're right - I'll relax;)
And I appreciate your explanation of mms message. I'll just deleted the notifications in the text message list.
yep no worries, with tech it can be easy to freak out over the simplest of things, especially if it is something people do not understand.....which is why AF is here for you.

App suggestion? Lock shortcuts on home screen.

yep for me that nova feature is great because in my line of work i'm always moving, crouching, leaning and i have had my phone somehow unlock itself and delete some of my apps on my homescreen. how nova's lockscreen works is that if you long press the homescreen another popup will occur saying that if you want to remove an app from the homescreen you have to long press the lock icon within the popup to be able to move or delete the app from the homescreen. never had any issues since i started using it.

Nothing has worked to stop hacker

Stop Useing Google its to easy for hackers to get every thing they need all Google accounts are linked once u get into the rest are easy, nothing u can do abought access to any accounts they are making they have all your details from Google accounts, get a new phone & sim then use encrypted email with authenticator app & use duckduckgo browser ect, all u can really do is contact any Co. Pants that the hacker has opened accounts & close them & explain what has happened & ask them to close the sccount. Any personal info u put online can be accessed buy hackers so only use as little as possible

Sms alert app that I can temporarily mute?

Sounds like it could possibly be done with Tasker?

BTW faxes really, in 2020?

We've said that internally in our department too... It's the 21st century and we're still using faxing. But, the hospital industry doesn't like change. They like tried and true technology. And, our company alone can't just stop using faxing. All the companies we do business with only use faxing, so if we want to do business with them, we need to support faxing.

Why don't southern houses have basements?

Years ago I had the opportunity to rebuild a couple of homes that were in the direct path of a deadly tornado. Most of the homes were a heap of debris but a few in the area were completely gone. The tornado not only removed the homes but sucked most of the floor covering from the sub flooring. The basements remained undisturbed and the owners unharmed. Certainly no bomb shelter but the basements proved to be protection from a tornado.
