Help Wifi “connected” but no apps work

I recently migrated from an LG G4 (Android 6) to a Moto G7 Power (android 9) but now same apps don't work any more. I still get the eBay and amazon alarms on my old G4 (connected to same Wi-Fi) but on the G7 I have to switch from Wi-Fi to Mobile Data. ebay and amazon work on FF for Android on the G7 though. I toggled the background data, excluded them from all safety and VPN, changed the DNS, switched to guest Wi-Fi on same internet connection, rebooted etc. but all has no effect at all.

S10 plus screen protector?

The Screen Protector depends from person to person. I don't have a screen protector and my phone does fall some times, but nothing has ever happened to my screen because of the case I use. I usually make sure that the case covers all sides and that the edges of the cover are a little thick and are shock proof. For the S10+ I would recommend the Spigen or the Rigke brands.

SD card question

Yes you can put old sdcard in s8 but first you need backed up your old data into windows or mac if you have inserted sdcard in hatdware then you can copy and paste whole of your private data into win or mac then formatted with fat32 then you can inserted your sdcard in s8.

Picture-in-picture plz help

A few things to try: go into System Settings and find YouTube in its list of apps. Check its settings; make sure both 'display over other apps' and 'picture-in-picture' are set to 'yes.' Then 'force stop' on it. Reopen the YouTube app; is it back to normal?

If it's not, go back to it in System Settings; access its storage, then clear its cache and data; the latter will lose all your settings and account info in YouTube. Force stop again, then open YouTube again. Fixed?

Last resort [that I can think of] is to do the above plus uninstall YouTube, then reinstall it. Hopefully, that's not necessary.

Managing the Home pages

Hi Christopher, My apologies. We have been at cross purposes. The instructions I have detailed correctly ONLY apply to the MIUI System Launcher!!
I tried by installing Nova Launcher from Google Playstore and found that Nova had taken over the Default system operations.
If you go to > Settings > Manage Apps > Tap the 3 dots on upper right > Default Apps > Launcher > you should see a RED square icon with home and System Launcher.
Tap on that to restore the original system launcher and all the instructions I listed will work.
I have changed the Theme on my phone (which also changed the app icons) and yet the Edit Mode is still functional as I detailed.
I can only state that if you change the MIUI launcher to any other launcher, you obviously lose Edit Mode control.

Help Bluetooth kills WIFI? (help)

I had the same problem you describe, but I've been testing it using the Speed Test app. They also have a website SpeedTest.net

1. I connect to WiFi and do a speed test that results in 12 Mbps download.
2. I hit play on my Bluetooth headphones which are accessing music that is saved directly on my SD card and my Speed Test drops to .22 Mbps.
3. I pause my music, do another speed test and it's back up to 12 Mbps.

I can be paired to Bluetooth all I want, but when I have an active stream or link to bluetooth my WiFi dies!!!

Maybe this is why they brought back 5 Ghz freq wireless routers. The N routers run 5 Ghz.

It is because they share the same frequency. Someone on the Apple forum suggested getting closer the wireless router... total BS!!! I think the Droid 2 has an N receiver in it so the problem should be fixed on that phone.
Upload speeds aren't really affected.

Hi agreed with you dear i did same wifi + Bluetooth headphones are making trouble but if you use cell data Its going good but wifi with Bluetooth headphones not working so i suggest to admin give us any hint to solve this issue

Audio text message

I noticed the audio text message icon a while back . Kind of cool. I dont recall the phone coming with that. May have came with an update.

I noticed while I was away from wifi, the audio text icon disappeared in the conversion I had just used it on. It reappeared, it seems, when I got back to home wifi.

It kind of makes sense a feature would be able to be turned off when away from wifi, but I cant find a setting for the feature that allows me to tell it to always be available and or OK to use data.

Anyone know anything about this feature and its behavior?

Apps How to add local map in android webview

Hi, I have a question and I need a little guid to achive this task simply I want to add a local map in my android webview and I want to access all the features of that URL (Example: In this URL there is a option of show my current location and so on) I've no API keys of that server. I just add a simple webview and load that URL it's working little fine shows location and route but I am not able to access these features like show my current location and select destination then it's show my the route that how much I far away from my destination like Google Map. Please help. Thanks

Help Wrong Time on Weather Widget

So I'm several years late on this topic but I had the same issue with my weather widget on my galaxy note 8. I solved it by holding the widget, selecting app info then going into the weather settings, select Auto refresh and choose a refresh time between 1 and 24 hours then turn it back off. I then turned off and on the location. Fixed it immediately without needing to reboot or refresh. Took 10 seconds to fix even though I've been searching for 2 days on how to change it. Hope this helps.
