On my APNs page, there's a big plus sign near the top right corner of the screen--which I don't see on yours! So, no, I don't think you're doing something wrong, but something -is- wrong.

First step in troubleshooting I think is try another pair of earbuds or headphones. And that should eliminate if it's the phone or the earbuds that are at fault.

Yes KingRoot already tried: it just doesn't go at the end of the process, keeps blocking at some point.
Will try iRoot right now, even if those are not trusted apps.

Actually the problem is bigger than that: the phones keeps randomly playing sort of a "notification sound" no matter if the phone is on plane mode or silent mode.
The phone keeps playing an annoying "beep beep" sound in the middle of the night without any reason.
That's why I want to mute the original audio file of this sound.

What about the auto fill service?

just curious as to why you think that folks here would know how to run the program? maybe check reddit, 4chan or 8chan.

i still do not know why you need this info? android in generally pretty safe. as long as you are careful with what you download you should not have any issues with malware like androrat. just check permissions for the apps that you download....keep to apps that appear first when you do a search.

plus i just googled androrat and came up with tons of info on it.

Yeah, the odds are very unlikely for that CRC error to be with both your laptops, probably the issue is with the common point, your SDXC card. If one or both are running Windows, try running CHDSK /R on the card and see if that can repair it enough to copy off the data.

Every Android phone I've had, has had OTA updates downloaded and installed via WiFi. And I thought that was the default with Android devices, to download OTA updates via WiFi, Mainly because WiFi might be more reliable for large downloads, plus something like 2-3GB of Pie update, would really eat into limited data plans, and could cost serious $$$.

I've got a Samsung here, that's been receiving OTA updates and there's no SIM in it.

Some carrier-locked phones might require a carrier SIM and service for initial activation and registration, before they receive OTA updates. But the OP has an unlocked Huawei Honor, which should be okay.

Try clearing data and cache for the Google Play Music app, also check for any updates.

The white zig-zags mean no parking and stopping. Intended to create a safe zone around pedestrian crossings where lines of sight for both pedestrians and drivers are not impaired by parked vehicles.

I believe they were introduced in the early 70s, after the original Sgt Pepper photo was taken.

like everything is black and white? if so i do not recall a setting for something like that. i do not have your phone so i could be wrong, but i do not see a reason to go just black and white. try a factory reset and see if it is still b&w.....if so then yeah something is wrong with the screen.

make this a lesson learned. always have a nandroid back handy on your sd card and even on your computer. this way if you mess up somehow, you have a backup someplace. as long as you have twrp or other custom recovery you are golden.

just remember that nandroid backups are your best friends.

well now days with most flagship phones at least you have biometrics needed to unlock phones......which is an upgrade to the lock screen pin or pattern. i do not have to worry about my phone getting stolen and getting used unless they somehow get my finger or face.

You know, after rereading my own comment--"is only ≈6 months old, but for months I've noticed screen burn-in"--I've reconsidered my response. Yes, it -did- come on quickly.

At ≈6 months, it had already been [unnamed] months since first noticing it. I don't know now how many months I meant, but if it was 3, that means it started at ≈3 months--and that's pretty fast. And if I meant 5...well, that's REALLY fast! Especially considering what I've stated about its use.

I'm currently running a 2 year old AMOLED with no issues.

I actually wrote about that phone being a lemon (in the Z² board). It's the first and only phone that's ever given me problems. I consider it a fluke, and it hasn't changed my loyalty to Motorola. Really, it strengthened it--because of how they handled the situation.

I recently got the Bold N1 also and received the first phone call on it. Speakerphone seemed too quiet. Settings >> Sound >> Sound enhancement >> BesLoudness (Volume booster for speaker) helped a little.

I then tried using the included earbuds with integrated microphone, and the volume was still low.

Regarding the Call Volume in the Sound settings being quieter than Media, Ring, and Alarm on your Pixel 3, that's the case on my Essential PH-1 too (and Bold N1) too. BUT that seems to be because the sound is coming out of the earpiece and is representative of if you are taking a call holding the phone up to your ear. It is not representative of the speakerphone volume.

Despite that "low" Call Volume, the Essential's speakerphone is sufficiently loud. I'm guessing your Pixel 3's speakerphone is sufficiently loud too?

Back to the Bold N1, I'm unsure if the volume on my one phone call was a fluke or not. At least the other person was able to hear me fine and signal strength (Google Fi, which uses T-Mobile) was much stronger than the Essential's, which would often lose connection from where I was calling.

Did you ever come up with a resolution to your speakerphone volume issue?
