Amazon Drive app or Amazon Photo app?

they are two different apps:
View attachment 143605

as you can see under suggested apps you can see the amazon photo icon as well.....so they are two different things.
Yes, I see. They are different apps available on Google Play.
But why will it navigate to Amazon Photos downloading web page when I click the link 'Get the Apps' in the web page of Amazon Drive? :(

Can't flash firmware

Well, I flashed a SANDERS 28.49 Firmware running a XT1800 G5s Plus, but idk I have issues like wifi not working (can't activate it), calls have no sound, some bluetooth devices won't work and i'm trying to flash a newer version of sanders (28.65) trough fastboot, but I get preflash validation failed, security version downgrade, etc, and I cannot even install any custom rom trough TWRP because error 7 (even with the updater-script modified)

IOS Application Development Vs Android Application Development?

Nice trolling, but it is irrelevant to the original question. If the OP isn't just writing for themselves (in which case you obviously write for whatever platform you use) they will most likely want to write for whatever platform will make them most money. In which case "which has the larger user base for my app and what will they pay?" is the real question, not the sort of thing you are saying. And of course if they can write cross-platform that solves that one.

Huawei Y9 Prime Fingerprint unlocking problem

You'll do the full fingerprint registration setup, but any fingerprints will unlock it?

I have seen this problem before, with a counterfeit Samsung Galaxy S7 . Where did you buy the phone? Because I know fake Huaweis are out there.

Suggest you post full model number.

Model - STK-L22
Build number - 9.0.1.1.189(C636E1R2P1)
EMUI version - 9.0.1
Android

OH my god. I'm so screwed if it is a fake one. But I bought it for 2 years warranty from a local store.

Help Why is King Root at 0.1 percent for rooting

like it was said before these one click root apps only went so far with android. google has long since patched securities that once made rooting with an app easy.......this is actually a good thing. as this protects the phone in the way that hacking your phone will be that much harder.

plus i like to root the hard way. by doing your research first and understanding the process. this is way more fun the something that was so easy. if things go wrong, you will have the technical knowledge to help troubleshoot. vs if something goes wrong in the app....you are screwed cuz you do not know where or how things went wrong.

if you want to root your phone, always head on over to XDA Developers Forums. it is a developers forum where the devs will post root findings and such. when you are there, check to see if there is a forum for your device. next see how active the forums are.

just remember no devs=no fun

and always read, read, read, and then read some more. if you have any questions please feel free to ask here.

and lastly what phone do you have? what model is your phone? each phone and carrier will have its own root process. know what phone and model you have will help us pinpoint how to root your device.

I have an Itel P32 phone, with Android version 8.1.0.

Root Oneplus 7 pro

Yes it is safe until you know what you are doing and what is the purpose of rooting for you.

Most of us root our phone to make it faster in term of performance, to try custom ROMs and their advanced features and so on.

I had rooted my phone to make it more faster. Greenify is an app that can force stop app running in background, without root it can do it too but it will make you enable a service from accessibility and then after selecting apps it will start force stopping one by one, but in root mode (+xposed) it can force stop as many as 30 apps in just a single tap, isn’t it awesome?

The second app i use is the No-frills CPU. The app can let me use CPU at max clock. So that i can play games that may stutter with default profile of CPU but will not, after clocking it to max. Overclocking is also supported if you use a custom kernel that has been developed to use higher clocks.

Now that was my point of using root.

Main Advantages of rooting are:
  1. You gain access to root and can change system defaults to anything.
  2. You can try apps that can increase productivity.
  3. You can overclock your CPU and GPU.
  4. You can try custom ROM (root is not necessary but custom recovery is).
Main Disadvantages:
  1. You might lose your phone’s warranty.
  2. You might get a dead boot after rooting. ( it is called getting bricked, hard bricked in that case)
  3. You might lose your data unexpectedly. (either on internal or external card)
  4. Your device might go unstable. (Random app crash, reboots, device heating up more than usual)

What is the grossest thing you have.....

When I was in the P.I. (Philippines) I opened a bottle of San Miguel beer and took a big swig and all of a sudden I felt a small lump go down my throat and the beer tasted the way a dead animal smells. My gag reflex kicked in I purged !!! To this day some look at me weird everytime I open a bottle of anything to drink I smell it first.

Pixel 2 XL OTG not working after Dev. Option changes

If USB debugging is enabled you could see whether you can use ADB to copy data over USB. Or attach a flash drive to the USB socket and copy stuff to that. Wireless options are available, they're just slower.

I'm thinking about this because you want to back up everything you can. If this is an obscure settings issue a factory reset will fix it, but that obviously deletes the data you wish to save.

Virus, bug ?

Looks like something trying to open an ad that it can't connect to.

What apps did you install or update in the few days before it started? Because if this is popping up at random times, rather than when you try to open a particular app, you may have an adware app on your phone (which could be a new one or it could be a previously OK one has changed with an update). Though it's worth clearing all of your browser caches just in case it's simply an advertising script that was downloaded from some site you visited.

Increase phone display refresh rate by lowering resolution?

If your phone's Settings >> Display menu doesn't have a lot of options to change the resolution, that could be an indicator that particular model might have a hardware limitation regarding the integral video chip/GPU. Or it could be a software issue where the manufacturer of the phone or the video chip just doesn't opt to provide a lot of user-alterable controls due to all the user interface issues that result in changing things like resolution on-the-fly. Don't forget that with PCs there's a big difference between the old, dated CRT refresh and resolution issues (analog) and newer, current LCD and LED displays (digital). Also, while a PC can have bulky heat sinks and heat dispersion devices (fans, water-coolers, etc.) to keep a video chip from cooking itself to failure, with smartphones they're essentially sealed units -- tiny openings for the microphone, charging port, maybe a headphone port, with waterproofed phones even those openings have rubber or silicone seals and gaskets; plus there's very, very tight tolerances so any air gaps are minimal (no moving air, nor any fans) at best so any heat dispersion is done mostly by conduction.
Anyway, you might be able to tweak the resolution using a 'Smallest width' option (accessible depending on the model of phone) in the Developer's Mode menu, specific directions here:
https://www.wikihow.com/Change-the-Screen-Resolution-on-Your-Android
Just be judicious and make changes gradually so you don't make the display unusable.

How far back should I provide support?

Hi All,

I recently complete development of my first app in the google play store but it doesn't run on my partner's galaxy s6. Should I work to support a phone that old? Maybe it's not the phone or the age, maybe it is something else? Care to kick the tires on this relaxation app?

https://android.skytrip.app

Let me know if it does or doesn't run on your android device, thanks in advance!

Firebird vs Camaro

Boy, that's a good question. Yeah, Pontiac died after the 2008 recession reorganization, but had some really nice sporty cars. Would it sell? I have a no idea, but I'll tell you this, that auto makers are discontinuing really fine sedans because they are not selling. Many, if not most people, are buying SUVs. I look down the highway and see nothing but big boxes on the road. It used to be that if you owned and SUV you could easily find your car in a crowded parking lot. No more. They are all SUVs and are many look alike. If you have a sedan? Good luck trying to find it in the sea of these SUVs.

Do I think the Pontiac would sell? Not enough. I don't know.
