Here's a new one, at least for me. I was using DuckDuckGo and it said that I should turn the screen the other way. I checked if auto rotate was on and it wasn't. Then it started doing that with everything. I rebooted and now it's OK. A while back it said there was something wrong with SD and asked if I wanted to format it. No, I didn't. Rebooting fixed that too. Once again though I got stuck with a lot of apps I don't want, games, Temu, Chime. Of course I deleted them before they could steal data, I hope, but how did that even happen? There were hundreds and hundreds of mb. At least I haven't been bothered by google for a while. There's one other thing. I was trying to copy from internal to SD, a lot of files, and it isn't really doing that. I guess it copies some and stops, but it used to get them all. Is Simple File Manager really that bad?

Go ahead and PM me, since I can't figure out how to send a message on this newfangled contraption...

I just saw it as a staged photo, much like the ones with kids smoking those candy cigarettes.

UPDATE:

The XM3s crapped out and I returned them. I went ahead and bought both the WF-1000XM5 earbuds and the WH-1000XM5 headphones (the Darling Bride wore out her XM3 headphones and broke them: I passed my XM4s to her). Now she's complaining that the XM4s are too tight on her head and hurt* - so I had to order her some XM3s and I'll sell the 4s. All I can say is that the reviews aren't kidding: the noise canceling on these things is almost scary!

*- I suppose that means the 4s is strong with her

I got seriously creeped out just hearing about the whole Neuralink thing.

Sing snot & booger songs with your kid and anything else that makes their Mom look at you with a combination of disgust and delight. The brightness in their smile when you talk fun things on their level, but keeping that parent/child relationship intact... that's fun!

Software update

I've been using Firetrust since it first came out. They are awesome and the forums are active with the developers participating. User inputs are also valuable and they have resolved about 99% of my spam and unwanted sender issues even before it hits my computer.

My wife use to loose her mind on black Friday and cyber Monday. I remember one black Friday she sent me and other family members to stand In line .
One cyber Monday at midnight she had command post set up with multiple computers, laptops, tablets and phones. She even commander my phone and then consider having me run out to get a prepaid phone so it could free up her phone for shopping and she could use the prepaid for web suffering and talking.
I said no
What was worse is for weeks afterwards it was a steady stream of packages. She would open one and be all excited, open the next one be staring at it and then glaring at me wanting to know why I order what whatever and I would be like I didn't order anything (how could I you had control of all devices and then she would be like oh yeah it was some kind of flash special limited time sale
Then I would be like what's it for??
The wife would look at me and go I have no idea

So I got two bullying stories. First one happened back in 6th grade. There was this bully name George. George had this crew (two other students) that would bully, beat up, steal from other students and generally the teachers wouldn't do anything about it.
Now If they actually saw it happening then they would step in and do something. Every Tuesday or Wednesday was chocolate milk day. White milk was free but chocolate milk cost 5 cents.
On chocolate milk day I would get a dime a chocolate milk for me and one for a friend. George would come a long with his crew and steal students chocolate milk money, it got to a point where we would just hand it to them.
Then one day I decided that I really wanted chocolate milk. So when George and his hench crew came calling, I decided that I was going to take a stand.
I beat the living you know what out George and his associates. I was the one who got in trouble because a teacher had seen me throw the first punch. George and his crew soon stopped asking or demanding chocolate milk money from students.
Years later I ran into George and we had a good laugh about it.
The second incident happened a few months after I got married back in 1994 we were living in Oakland.
One evening I am going to catch the bus and this guy approached me. At first he said nothing then there was the social greeting, Hi, evening, how its going. Something a long those lines. For a moments nothing, then he asked me how money I had on me? Before I could respond he goes how about I hold it for you. I said no, but thanks for offering. He stepped closer and told me to show him my pockets so he could see what I was carrying when I didn't move he got pissed and threatened to knock me out and take my jacket and everything else I had on me.
Up till that point I hadn't been taking the guy serious, but then I looked at him and remember asking dude are you trying to mug me??? I had never been mugged before, I got all happy
I even started asking questions, the guy started getting really angry ,he told me that he was going to give me one last chance to do what he said.
I look at him and told him something along the lines I had no further use for him which first confused him then absolute set him off ,but before he could do anything I grabbed his jacket and stepped to the edge of the curb and shoved him out into the bus lane and held him there.
The bus was coming and the guy kept looking at it and me. I said nothing just kept staring at the guy, smiling. About a foot or two from it hitting the guy I spun and threw him on the ground .
I got on the bus, guy got up and ran off.

I am not good with math. I absolutely suck at it in high school (I did fairly well trigonometry and geometry and got through fractions). My daughter is apparently really good at math, the area giving her a bit of a problem is volumes but she will keep at it until she finally understands it.

I know for most people the first day of spring is only a few days away, but as truck driver I still have about six more weeks of winter weather to possible contend with. Wyoming, Colorado, some extreme northern parts of the states can still get snow and bad weather. Usually by May 1st we are in the clear.

Efficiency is only part of the equation. We live under PG&E rule and their rates (both electric and gas) are outrageous. With solar, electric is now basically free, so the loss in efficiency is way down the priority list. Electric water heaters have improved as well, so their recovery rates are better.

Belated thank you for the tip on MyPhoneExplorer. I have yet to implement it fully (don't want to double up my Android contacts when I do!), but I did install the Windows client on my PC, and it looks like the functionality is what I need. I will try to post back when I have time to implement & synchronize.

I normally have my phone on a belt clip. It's been a long time since I carried my phone in my pocket. I do remember it made a difference if I had the screen pointing towards my body I would get open pages when I pulled it out. If I turned the phone 180 degrees so the screen was point away from my body it would be fine.

Don't know if you have tried that yet or if that will make any difference for you.

I'm just trying to make sense of where this is behavior being generated. I purposely don't sync my contacts.

I don't see how Assistant could be related. All it does it display a choice of contacts for me to select. That's where it's job ends. I select the contact, and the Samsung app dials it.

I deleted all the related contacts, and remade them with only the prefixed number.
