Oh, I forgot to tell: the blue spinning circle thing, like the below and ending up on the screenshot, that is fixed recently.
It shows up for a second, disappears and the screenshot is then taken, everything okay.

no do not delete it. it looks like it is for data that is directly tied to your system os. it has nothing to do with 3rd party apps.

If you use Nova launcher you can rename the app and change the icon. Then if someone looks at your apps they can't find it unless they know what you changed it to.

On my smart phone, there is an option in Settings to block opening other apps.

Settings - Apps - Firefox - App management, Android 14.

I'm not sure if you have a similar option on your Samsung Galaxy 9+. Just for your reference.

I had an early Zenfone 2. That was back when it was hard to get an unlocked phone in the states, and it was a real decent phone. I'm pretty attached to Pixel phones. if Google does something real stupid with Pixel I would try a new Asus phone. Asus puts the same amount of care into their phones as they do their motherboards.

Anecdotes. Micro USB always worked for me. Why can't we have choices anymore instead of the 'illusion of choice'? Somehow USB-C didn't just become a way, it became the only way, no thanks to the E.U. who shouldn't even have any jurisdiction in the U.S.

Artificial scarcity sucks. We should also have WebOS and other OSs too. There is plenty of room for options, choices and competition, just as there was plenty of room for 2G, 3G, 4G/LTE as well as 5G and VoLTE. Let people have variety again!

I didn't need any emergency heat today but my power was off for a few hours. We were warned in advance for the planned outage. It seems when my neighbor's tree wiped out our power in early January, it also damaged the power pole it was mounted to. The crew replacing the pole said the pole was installed in 1948.

Not true at all. I sell the metroPCS phones at Walmart, it follows the same unlock policy as all other MetroPCS stores and you would have to call Metro to unlock it if it does not qualify for unlock for any reason.

Have you tried pressing on the icon and then see any options to uninstall, or drag it to the top of the phone and select uninstall?

If all else fails is a factory reset out of the question?
