repinning a note

when i take my S pen out while screen is on, i have it set up to create a new note. once i create the note, i like to pin it to the screen as a reminder. once its not pinned, i often forget about it. anyways, sometimes i end up saving the note (thereby not pinning it anymore, and only available in the Notes section). anyway to retrieve that note and pin it back to the homescreen?

I really don't know.

What you could do in the meantime is view the note, and take a screenshot of it.

Now make that screenshot your wallpaper.

Its not perfect, but it will remind you to look at that note.

S10 unrooted but still unauthorised

@Hadron is correct, flashing the original factory firmware is sound advice. Before you begin you'll need to know about Google FRP lock.

Use Frija to download the latest firmware for the device which can be flashed with Odin.

False "storage low" message

Thank you that actually makes sense. I checked but my phone storage doesn't show "SAVE LOCATION" on that screen.

However I deleted a couple of the music files showing stored on the SD card, and it "freed space"

I have 190 "duplicate" music files and am not sure which one connects to my Amazon Music Prime Library. I am VERY confused at this point and could use some direct help. Is there a way to get tech support assistance online and/or by phone?

When you are using your online storage for (what I think is) music, it seems that it is downloading the file onto your device.

That is why you are getting copies of files that are also saved online.

Myself, I would suggest streaming your music when listening to it, and only storing music online that you really want to keep.

Music that you listen to everyday would serve you better if stored onto your device on an SD card (an external memory).
That way the card and its contents are transferable to other devices.
(Computer, a new phone, etc.)

Keeping your internal memory at or below a 70% threshold is a goal that is only met with due diligence on the part of the user.

Go through your apps, and ditch what you don't use or need.

Use a browser for social media, ie. Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc.
Delete the apps and just use the mobile site with your browser.

This can save a huge amount of space.

Do you play games on the device?
Use a firewall or an adblocker to pevent the games from showing ads.
The ads get downloaded for you to watch, but they do not get deleted automatically.
Sure, you will miss out on whatever digital trinkets they dangle in front of you to entice you to watch the ads, but so be it.
It's just a game.

The vast majority of people here, myself included, will tell you to delete any app that is a cleaner, booster, cooler, etc. or any security app.

They are not needed and don't do anything beneficial for the user.

The worst part is that they run all the time, show ads, and take up space on the device.

That being said, there are two 'cleaner' apps that I DO recommend to people.

One is pretty simple, and thorough.
I have older versions of Android, so I use the older, ad-free version of the app.
If you have Android 9 or newer, you will need the most recent updated version- and unfortunately it has ads.
But it does a great job, and it also includes a duplicate finder, which allows you to easilly find and delete duplicate files on your device.

App for Android 8 and below (no ads):

App for Android 9 and above (has ads):

The second app that I recommend is very thorough, but not quite as simple to use.

It only cleans junk files, and you need to be able to tell it the filepath to files that you don't want cleared.

If this is within your capabilities, this one is by far the best one I have seen.
The description of the app tells you important infomation that everyone should know about this type of app.

No ads, open source Android cleaner:

Apps Copy Result of ACTION_GET_CONTENT to App Filedir

Recently I wanted to allow the user to pick a file and for internal reasons I have to copy it in to the Apps Directory (getFilesDir()). I let the User Pick any File with the Intent.ACTION_GET_CONTENT and the Type "*/*" so that the user really can pick anything.

From my Intent I mostly get a Uri around the lines of content://com.android.externalstorage.documents/document... and I copy these pretty easily like this:

Everything works wonderful if I get the scheme I said, but if I'm unlucky I get something along the lines content://com.android.providers.media.documents/document/image:15199 or any other android.providers.
Since these are obviously not a real file, because they don't have any filetype, I'm at a loss how to copy them. I have found a Function (https://www.dev2qa.com/how-to-get-real-file-path-from-android-uri/) that gives me the real Path, but every time I try to copy with that Path I get a Permission Denied Error, even though I ask for write and read external Storage permissions and the user allows them to me. So how would it be better to copy the files?

Why use WQHD+ Instead of FHFD+ Resolution?

You wouldn't, unless you are watching a movie or other video that is in a higher resolution. For example, I have all 10 Star Wars movies (including Rogue One) ripped from the Blu-ray discs. I personally think they look better on my Note 10+'s screen in WQHD (which is technically 2K) than in WFHD (which is 1080p). I'm having trouble with the 4K videos, but I know those will look better. For everyday use, though, WFHD is perfectly fine.

I like Western TV Shows

Now that was always the thing that bothered me with "The A Team": in a typical episode about a thousand rounds would be fired, there would be a couple of explosions, usually a vehicle would be flipped over, and nobody suffered anything worse than some torn clothes and dishevelled hair. Even as a kid I felt this was a deeply irresponsible message to be sending out each week.
That's how I felt about seeing star wars after the second time, and the empire strikes back the first time, both movies drop serious hints that stuff occurred before the movies i wasn't even ten when star wars came out

Google app update

Hello,

I've recently updated my app, but got an error message when I tried to re-upload it to Google Play Store.

Google "reset" my upload key and gave me certificate fingerprints (MD5 and SHA1). These fingerprints matched the details that I see in KeyStore Explorer.

BUT the fingerprints in the CERT.RSA file from the META-INF folder of my updated apk are different, so I can't re-upload my app. Google say I'm not using the correct key.

What am I doing wrong? Been trying to figure this out for 3 days and now am just confused :(

Thank you for any help anyone can give. (My app was created with Cordova 10.0.0.)

Turn off headphone remote controls

BT headphone and speaker remote controls are done via the BT Audio/Video Remote Control Profile (AVRCP) which works with the BT Advanced Audio Distribution Profile, that streams the stereo audio. And I don't think the AVRCP can be disabled or configured separately, not without a specific app from the headphone or speaker manufacturer, like Sony or Bose makes, or maybe there's a setting in your particular media player?
