Battery discharge and recharge

I bought a new Samsung A 40 a few daty ago and find that it discharges quite quickly and doesn't last a full day.

I have also found that despite it having a 'fast charger' and is switched on to fast charging it takes at leat three hours to fully charge it. Is this normal?
depends on how low the battery is. if the charge is at 10% or less, then yeah i can see 3 hours for full charge.....no more then that though.

and i would give the new phone at least a week or two before you finalize your opinion on battery life. battery life is never consistent and will tend to vary from day to day. after a few weeks you should have a better idea on how the battery is. it will also depend on where you are at, what you do on the phone, how good the cell signal strength is, are you using wifi a lot or not.

.......so there are a ton pf variables. give it a few weeks and let us know.

edit: i forgot to mention that with new phones people tend to use it more then normal.....playing with the settings, downloading launchers, apps, games....plus it is that shiny new object, so of course you are gonna use it more at the beginning.

TAB 4 connects to mobile hotspot but not wifi router

Never mind, I deleted the network and reconnected and entered password and it is now working. Why would it say it is connected if it is a password issue?
it is probably connected to the tablet, but the router had no access to the internet due to the password. not really sure why that is.

but even though it says connected and you are still having issues, the very first step to troubleshooting would be to reboot the router. even though other devices are connected rebooting the router should fix most issues with your device.

Help What can employer see on my phone?

I've been around long enough that my experience precludes everything but telephone, TV, and radio. That said, there were no privacy concerns at all other than local storage of postal mail and/or other hand-delivered papers or photos. The thing about "growing up" in today's world is, you NEED to be constantly vigilant about EVERYTHING you do, because it ALL has ever-lasting repercussions whether you like/want it or not. This is the ultimate trade-off of living in the digital world, privacy has now become an illusion of fantasy. The only way to obtain it is to completely and totally remove one's self from the digital world, which of course, no one is willing to do!

Verizon Note 9 will not charge via cable

Very late to the party on this thread, I haven't been on the forums in quite a while, other than yesterday to boast about getting on board for the 20 Ultra after skipping the 10.

Anyway, I'm on VZW and have done all the software updates as they've come, and haven't had this issue, but When trying to plug the phone into my bike the other day to try out Android Auto for the first time, I noticed that my port must be fudged somehow because just looking at the cable the wrong way will make it lose it's connection. I haven't used a cable in quite a long time as I just wirelessly charge overnight every night. I tried a few different cables, and no matter what, just the most minor touch or movement of the cables will cause disconnection. I'm not sure how, or why, or even how long this has been an issue, and it's nothing major, but was wondering what your ultimate outcome has been. Was it really firmware, or something physical with your port?
