Lock screen display

We just returned from a trip and I noticed something that really puzzled me. We had traveled from Arizona to the Texas Gulf Coast (2 time zone changes) and when I picked up my S10+ in the morning I noticed a different time display. I have the lock display set up to display an analog type of clock with a second hand, and that is what I normally see, but while on the Gulf Coast I saw two digital clock displays next to each other, one with the local time and one with the time at home.

The display was very helpful and I am not complaining, but it was gone when we traveled a bit toward home and were only a single time zone from our local time. Then it was back to a single analog type clock even though we were not in our home time zone.

Can anyone tell me what was going on with the phone?

Monospace Font

Hi

I rethemed my tablet and my monospace font has gone. The same font always comes up whatever I select in apps that support font selection. I need monospace for some apps like code editors. Anyone know how to reinstall a monospace font?

My tablet in on Android 8 and EMUI 8.

All the best

Patrick

android 10 today?

AOSP isn't an organisation. It stands for Android Open Source Program, and refers to the publicly available open source code of the android operating system. It's years since I looked at it so can't tell you where to find it, but a short web search will provide the answer.

Do not underestimate the work involved. If you are not already experienced in this type of work it will take a long time. And there is no guarantee that you'll be able to get Android 10 compatible drivers for your hardware, that ZTE will release kernel source code, etc. Getting the AOSP source will be the easy but.

Anybody home?

Now to someone a little older $6.99 is cheap: software for PDAs in the 90s cost more than that even before we allow for 20 years' inflation, and that was cheap compared to PC software. So to me this idea so many have that software should by default be free and if it costs more than a coffee it's expensive is just weird.

(Even more so when $500 for a phone is considered cheap and some manufacturers are selling $1000 handsets which they expect you to churn after 2 years).

Ok so is it possible to root the stylo4 lm-q710cs from cricket?

nope not yet.....lg has locked the bootloader and will not hand out the keys to unlocking it, unfortunately.

please read my last post on the thread:
https://androidforums.com/threads/how-to-root-lg-stylo-4-sprint.1294766/

also visit the links.

for future references, always heads on over to xda for anything root related. if you see a subforum for your device and it has another subsection for roms and rooting...you are golden. no subsections means that there is no dev community and i doubt you will see root gained.

just remember:
no devs=no fun

Help Spyware

I have a great assumption that my phone has spyware, but having difficulty locating it so I can remove it. My Gmail was hacked several months ago and I discovered my email address was attached to someone's Google Cloud. It showed my boyfriend's email address as the owner and mine listed under parental control. He denies allegations. He knows information about me from my text, email, calls, and messages that I have not shared with him. I downloaded a couple different apps to show me information about apps installed on my phone, but I don't know what to look for. I understand spy apps can be disguised, but not sure as to what. My battery drains quickly, my phone powers off an on by itself, it even makes weird notification sounds even though I turned all notifications off. Please help.

I'm dealing with the same issue. As of today, I've been trying to rid myself of this individual and situation for over 9 months. No law enforcement will take the time to help and the people I've paid to help me ripped me off. NEVER EVER SEND YOUR DEVICES TO DIGITAL FORENSICS CORPORATION. I know what you're going through and how maddening it is. Just wanted you to know you aren't crazy and you aren't alone.

I can't switch Radio on as I have failed to find the switch. Please help

If you look through the Settings menu in your phone there should be an option for Airplane mode with the enable/disable toggle next to it. In the phone I'm looking at now it's in the Settings >> Wireless & networks >> More menu. On yours, it will probably also be buried inside nested menus and using different naming but still have to be similar.

Help Free, Open Source, Outside Of Google Play Store App To Sync To Mega

APKMirror claims to be store the same APKs that Google uploads into its Play Store so if you don't trust them, or any other similar sites like apkpure, I don't know what else to suggest if you only want to rely on open source apps from sources like F-Droid:
https://www.apkmirror.com/faq/
According to Wikipedia, Mega did release some of its source code, only for client-side software, a few years ago. Looking at its Github page there is source code available if you want build your own apk package:
