What sources have been in and out confirming? I must have missed something...Someone want to update me?

Nothing really. We've all become sources apparently. Getting varying reports from corp stores regarding 'availability this week' vs 'no information'.
 
That seems to be true to a certain extent. Although, regionally, there seems to be some pretty good evidence they are getting the phone Thurs.
There is evidence, but none of it is from the CSR or Sales Reps at the store... they are all guessing or reading the same forums we are. People are just driving me nuts with 20 pages of "I called a store, and they said...".
 
Well the good news for me seems that at this rate I don't have to spend any time and energy calling csr to let me use my ne2 sooner.....

Maybe this has been brought up already, but its hard to keep up with 62,000+ posts. Will this thread get closed the day the phone is released for sale? Or will it stay active for a while? I've been addicted to this thread since the day Verizon didn't get the Galaxy SII. It gives me something to look forward to when I come home from work and turn on my computer. Although as soon as I get my Galaxy Nexus, this thread will no longer serve its original purpose and I will have a new toy to occupy my time with.

One other thing I've been wondering, how stocked up do the Verizon stores get with new phones like this? Is this something that will be bought up right away when the store opens or do they have enough to go around. Because I'm on my parents plan and pay for additional charges, but when this phone is in stores, I will have to go with them to the store after we get off of work and do it in the evening and I don't want them to sell out before I can get one.

Which mean nothing...because people have supposedly been having these phones "reserved" for them since Nov 17th and earlier.

There is no reason one sales rep could reserve a phone and has a release date, yet hundreds of others have no information or give a completely different date (dec 8 / dec 9).
 
I've been so good about this release.

Haven't pestered our business rep once. I may or may not have driven her insane over the Incredible release.....

So I figured I've earned the right to one email this time.

Her reply was basically ... Should be here soon but I don't know exactly when, but definitely "by the end of the year". She had seen it last week at some show/demo...

Not exactly the most positive answers, but not the worst either =)

She said she would email me when she can place orders for the device.
 
I simply don't understand how they can deny Google Wallet.

It's just software. That's like saying "Cox cable won't let you visit PayPal because they are partial owners of (insert payment site)."

It makes no sense really. I want to use my internet connection for whatever I want.


Verizon and AT&T are pushing the ISIS payment system. Only problem is - it isn't available yet as far as I know.

Yeah, it gets tiring keeping up with the thread and having 70% of the posts be random people explaining how they bothered some sales rep, who clearly doesn't and won't know any more than what we know until Verizon announces the release date for the phone.

Well, but there ARE plenty of other threads, and a lounge that we should actually use, instead of growing apart until the next release of THE phone to have.

not true, some have specifically said it's in the system, NOT from speculation or forums

I don't feel the rep I spoke with felt at all bothered...actually it was quite the opposite, he was exited that I wanted to buy from him, this how they make a living.It's what they are paid to do is deal with pain in the but people like me.

I agree that it seems like we are beating a dead horse but if it was you that made the call and the rep was excited with you you just might see it a bit differently.

I want to thank you guys for all that you have put up with and overcome. We've overcome people posing as insiders. We've overcome disappointment and argument. So far, for me this thread has a dream to oversee. Have I gotten a bit worn out from at times? Yes. Do I love it and do I enjoy you guys? Absolutely.

Would I do something like this again? Well, let me answer this question this way. I've run four marathons. If you asked me if I wanted another marathon on day I finished, I'd tell you to ask me in a week, as I was exhausted from the long experience. So, if you asked me if I wanted to do this again, I'd tell you to ask me in a week. (Then I'd say "absolutely!!!!")

Congrats to all you guys.. we're almost there. It's imminent!!!! :p

Well, that doesn't quite make sense - now does it? Some people say it's in the system, but most say it isn't? You think there is a massive cover-up of Corporate telling Verizon employees to deny the existence of the phone in their system? Why would they put a release date in the system then? And why wouldn't other CSR or sales reps be able to see it?

Or do you think it is more likely that a few sales people are trying to lock down sales for a possible release on the 8th / 9th for their commission?
 
Not as many corporate stores open now...we will have to wait til tomorrow to call them then post what each one of them said...over and over again.:rolleyes:

I am personally going to call, as some people were getting first thing in the morning appts. If I get information, I will post it. Don't forget, people are just trying to help by posting what they found. It does it get repetitive, but its a small price to pay for getting this info before almost anyone else.
