Verizon can pretty much wait til the 14th or even (though less likely) early the 15th itself to launch a phone on a 15th, so not hearing anything by tomorrow really won't be very telling, unfortunately. The main thing we can safely assume, on some level, is that since people currently have activated Verizon GNex now, however few and far between they are, Verizon really can't afford to keep the genie in the bottle much longer. Combined with the fact that random retailers have the phones taking up valuable storage space that they need to clear to make room for other items they can actually sell. I severely doubt we'll hear about any retailers being instructed to ship merchandise back to Verizon warehouses. No matter how much Verizon wants to control this launch, said retailers are now in the position to exert some pressure on them so long as the items are in their possession. At the very least in the form of complaining from Radio Shacks, Best Buys, and anyone else with the phones taking up space. That and the knowledge that, despite their instructions to vendors, they can't keep the thing a secret that much longer. Naturally, as with all speculation, this could be inaccurate, but certainly not unfeasible. Verizon's main ace in the hole is that they don't need our group for the phone to do well. They need the general public who are current ignorant of its existence. So long as people see a huge screen that's 720p, people will flock to it who aren't daunted by the size. Specs aside, it has an "ooh, pretty..." wow factor. Anyway, I wouldn't worry about them sitting around in the stores for very long. Definitely not til 12/31 for damned sure. (We hope.)

On another note I found something else to help Me through the tough time of loss were all in. (Not getting nexi last week) I bought 007 Golden eye Reloaded and I couldn't be happier. What a fantastic game, and the bond song at the end of the first level and the fact that its really Daniel Craig and the real M makes it all that much bettet

That can't be Verizon.... Thomas the train never gives up. He would have started to say "I think I can, I think I can" and would have got back on track.

For everyone that is getting mixed emotions about waiting for this phone just head to your local Verizon, Best Buy, Costco or Radio Shack store and ask to hold one... You will then remember what you are waiting for and have a renewed sense of desire for it.... Others have done it along with myself and it helped.... A lot!

My wife's RAZR has a bullet proof radio and is so darn fast on 4G. She easily tripled my thunderbolt download speed sitting next to eachother. I was floored. But the really shoddy camera and sub par screen on lower brightness is just as bad of a let down. Its a 50/50 with the razr. But it is a tank and built like a Motorola, and no Sammy will ever feel as good ;-) (BB I know where your mind went lol)

EDIT: also don't look for leaks outside of the CSRs and managers. Verizon looked like a fool last Thursday and all the shipments are in transit and or already there. All training is done and display units recieved. I bet unless a PR goes out Wednesday or tomorrow the reps will know only by an email on Thursday morning saying all stock is sell-able... just my .02

Im not saying that the GN will be terrible. I mean Samsung makes millions of phones and there are a lot of happy people out there using them. But for me, call quality and reception is huge, so I wanted the best I could get and for that a few folks gave me the heads up to not overlook the Razr. I reviewed, checked it out, and purchased yesterday.

Not meaning to ruffle feathers or stir anything up, just posting what I did for me personally.

Just out of curiosity, why'd you go with the Razr over the Rezound? I've been toying with the idea of what I'd get if I reached my breaking point the the Nexus.
 
I have seen a few different websites offer unlock instructions,including this site. Every one seems to have a few different steps, and some members here prefer one over the other. I am not a complete newb and have rooted and messed around with my X without bricking it, but this appears to be a little more involved and god forbid I brick my Nexus after waiting 2 months for the damn thing. Can someone link up the easiest steps?

Since Lte hasn't come out yet, are current links for GSM and do they work for both?

YouTube video instructions maybe?:o
 
So what's everyone's guess on the date in the URL for the Galaxy Nexus PR? Will it be the day we get the PR or from last week or last month?

Have you held the GNex? I would beg to differ with your last statement prior to the edit... My order for how the phone feels in the hand is GNex, Rezound, RAZR.
 
Are these good cases for a cheap price? They have gotten good reviews. Would I get it faster ordering it through Amazon or Diztronic themselves?:confused:

I think it is good enough to be a daily driver for a lot of people. There are little things here or there (camcorder) that aren't working right, but overall it is running good for me right now. I can't get Facebooke to sync with People through the native sync or via Facebook, but that is something I can live with.

I think it is also a pretty good way to see how you like ICS. I'm running into a few things here or there that I didn't expect, though I'm not sure if they are because of the ROM or actual ICS just yet.

Just putting an OT in front of it doesn't mean one's eyes automatically don't see what's typed right next to it. So that doesn't really help, though i appreciate the sentiment and get what you're saying

Not yet, but nothing feels as good and solid as a Motorola device... that said it is very awkward and it still feels like a poptart although my wife's is now a strawberry poptart lol
