***Official HTC Incredible Thread***

I'm not so worried about bugs... Could be a PITA, but look how quick that first droid update came out.. It was only a month or 2 and they were up on what needed to be fixed and issued that update. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Can I put in a vote for official pics thread? Between Sense UI and stock home screens, there are a lot of drool-worthy home screen combinations I would love to see get posted; especially when people starting rooting.

How 'bout a "put 'em on the glass" thread? (come on now, some of you are old enough to know what i'm talking about!) Just pics of gf's putting boobs up to the camera??? any takers?
 
Hey guys, I've been following for a while now, and had a quick question, for those talking about pricing and whatnot. What's Verizon's deal on sales tax? My account and home are in Oregon (no sales tax), but I'm going to school in Virginia. Do they charge sales tax online?

Can't wait for an Incredible; I love my Dare (apparently I'm one of very few?), but I'm ready for something with a little more horsepower. Keep up the good work, everyone!

That's a little sexist. The Incredible sees no sex. The Incredible sees no color. The Incredible is an equal opportunity device. The Incredible loves all and all will come to love the Incredible.

I am a dude BTW and I hope I am not the only one who visits AF in the nude otherwise I feel just plain silly.

Its just not wise for "some" people to buy first generation anything. Usually first generation products have a few bugs, or qualities that get ironed out after they are out for about 6 months or so.

Take the , dare I say it?, IPhone when it first came out. Just a few months later they dropped the price and increased the memory. Same principle applies to TV's, Airplanes, Cameras, ETC...

Some people can deal with the bugs and some can't. If you are patient run like hell and buy that sucker! If you are not, give it at least a month and see what ppl are saying.

I think it's safe to say that if it's not directly concerning or related to the HTC Incredible then it's outside the scope of this thread,

I guess it really doesn't matter....it's the Moderators call...or perhaps someone else who has assigned themselves hall monitor. :p

It may not be in Verizon stores but it's in Best Buy and all the authorized partners, it's kinda weird Verizon is the last one to get there own phone.

I dunno... but here's my gut feeling... the bugs were worked out or are being worked out on the N1? I hope so at least. So the Incredible should perfrect? :) ;)

I waited (not unlike my wait for the Incredible) for the Motorola 325. It was one of the first Verizon phone with VZ Nav. Boy, that thing was a disaster. It froze when the signal got weak and wouldn't recover without a battery pull. I went through about 4 of them before the mysterious V325i came out a few month later. I had better luck with that. When I upgraded, I was so sick of bells and whistles, that I ordered the very basic Motorola W755. I had served me well without problems, until my 21/2 year old slam dunked it on the cement floor of Wal-Mart. Now I have a whopping 15 minutes of talk time. I even bought a replacement battery and it just won't hold a charge.

That's a good way of looking at it I think, plus Android has been getting better/smoother with every update. I think the bug issues could be with sense interacting with Android 2.1. Is 2.1 going to be a BIG difference from 2.0?

What I mean is, is it likely to see a lot of bug issues going from 2.0-2.1?

It is based on your billing address. If it is in Oregon, you will have $0. If your billing address is in Virginia, you will pay Virginia taxes.

Thats why I was asking other to call around to their independent stores to see if they are getting the same info. He just called me at 12:59PM EST.

What school in VA? I'm at Virginia Tech. And I'm also a Dare owner! But I'd guess you love yours a bit more than I do mine....
