Root [ROM] Cyanogenmod For Droid V5.0.7 (05/24/2010)

the scripts are no built into the CM rom. you can download and flash them with rom manager. they are in jrummy's folder.

CM is built from source and not from a released rom. for copyright and legal reasons the google apps can not be built into the rom they have o be installed separately. if you install the rom from rom manager make sure to checkmark gapps when it prompts you. if not you can get and install them from.

I'm one of those who found CM's ROMs to be laggy in the past, so I've kinda kept my distance. Above all else, I want my phone to perform when I need it to, everytime. I can't knock the features, CM's gotta be the best out there for that, so I'm def tempted.

I'm really jonesing for 2.2, so I guess flashing a new ROM might help curb the edge. I haven't flashed since NexBeast 1.0 first came out. That's almost a month! lol Ah, @#$% it.

Agree with all your points (especially looking forward to 2.2). As for lag, I am finding no lag probles at all running this unthemed. I originally was using Bekit 1.0 and now using 1.2 low voltage. So far, all is well and again no lag with the ADW launcher.

Same here. And the new RC3 for ADW is running buttery smooth
 
i heard the p3 kernals are better with cm. i have only used bekit before but the battery was bad, and i heard with p3 its btter. so before i load this which would would you guys suggest?

Try them both see what works better for you. You can even try chevy's since his newest ones use the any updater format. Personally I use P3s but some have much better luck with bekits. Doesnt seem to be any rhyme or reason
 
Smooth... ROM... very smooth... but runs hot for me... on every kernel I try. 100 plus just sitting... which really isn't that hot I guess. I'm just used to PetesLeak which was quick as hell and never gets hot.
 
5.0.7.1 Is now out in rom manager. Fixes the gallery issue and I think gives an updated version of spare parts

You can always check Rom Manager for themes. Outside of that, I'd keep a look out on Droid Forums and CyonegenROM forums. It generally takes a few days for folks to get their themes working on new ROMs. There's only a few out for 5.0.7 right now as it is.

IMHO, better on all counts than BB V1 and a ton more features.
 
So far, so good. Even at stock 600MHz it was smooth. Def better than any CM ROM I have tried before. Running a P3 1.2GHz and I'm liking it so far. And as it has been said, I'm kinda enjoying the stock theme. It's been a while. But I will def theme it when that comes out.

EDIT: one point of notice, the Market is ssslllooowww on here. I mean real ssslllooowww. That def needs to be addressed.

no market speed issues for me.
 
And two bugs for me so far:

1) Gallery is broken (but that's known from what I've read)

2) Clock app when in dock doesn't "sleep" anymore. Also the dimmer button on the app doesn't work. I suspect it has something to do with automatic brightness again.

couple posts up references that the gallery is fixed in the 5.0.7.1 release now in rom manager.

Dimmer in the clock app is working fine for me. I dont have a dock to test out anything there though

Odd, the Market has been the fastest it has ever been for me on this release.
 
havent had a chance to test it yet, but from the cm forums it looks like usb tethering is broken. apparently the box to enable it will not stay checked. i will be able to test it tonight. also heres what is new in 7.1

Gallery not fixed for me yet on 5.0.7.1 ... Pictures fine in camera preview, gallery looks like its loading thumbnails instead of the pictures.
 
Gallery works fine for me in .1

This is looking good. The only problem I have is that I want the status bar to be black. Otherwise, with the ADW installed, I am happy.
