2021 NFL Football season

I had the Chargers picked to win that game. It's always hard to win at Mile High!

At least your Chargers didn't stink up the place like the Steelers. They played so poorly today that I was left with scabs on my eyes.

yeah i did not have a backup qb for my fantasy team. i was so impressed with big ben when he played last week against my chargers that i picked him off of waivers for a spot start........that turned up horrible.!!!! still winning my matchup fortunately.

Ouch! Sorry about that. Ben still has his arm. Unfortunately he no longer has his offensive line or the quality receivers he enjoyed in the past. Never known for his mobility, he was hard to knock down years ago. He is no longer that QB.

I started Brady and have Carr on the bench in an 8 man. TB won Though Tom only put up 14 of his 26 projected. He has been solid most of the season. It made for a close matchup that I squeaked out a W in spite of his low scoring.

Speaking of low scoring... I sure didn't expect the low scoring game tonight between the Ravens and the Browns. Lamar only got half his projected which gave my son's fantasy a loss. He has had no luck this year. He's that guy that you always have in the league that has the most points scored against. :)

Steelers can't seem to play a whole game for some reason. It's hard to win when you only play a half. I've never seen such a night and day game as last week.

The Chiefs were rolling this weekend. Between being in stride the entire game, the Raiders kept killing their chances. It would have been a sorry game to watch if I weren't such a KC fan.

i'm so looking forward for this thursday game between the Chiefs and the Chargers......it think it is going to be one hell of a game.

The Chargers and the Chiefs should be a great game i agree, i think it my come down to the more precise QB out of the two

The current line is Chiefs by 3 with an over under of 52. It's difficult to pick against the home team with those odds. I will be rooting for the Chiefs naturally. :)

It was a good game and I was prepared to extend congrats to all Charger fans. They could have walked away with W if they hadn't left their kicker on the bench. I feel the Chiefs were gifted the W. Especially when the Chargers had the lead going into the half and didn't kick a field goal. My team got lucky... and I know it. The Chargers looked to be the better team tonight.

anybody else hate the over time rules. it is just unfair as whoever wins the coin toss has pretty much won the game.....granted they still have to march down the field to score.....i just hate the rule of sudden death.

I'm more fond of them tonight. :) If your Chargers would have won the toss you are very likely looking at a different outcome. Either team was more than capable of driving the field for a TD. Not many of the other teams in the league have that sort of explosive offense however.
I can understand why the OT rules are what they are today. They aren't fair for all teams though. And as the league evolves into a more offensive game it will be more unfair in the future.

i have always hated the rule.

i like how hockey decides a tie game after regulation.....not sure how the NFL can match that.. but anything is better than what we have now.

and i think the Chiefs were the better team. we made some terrible calls. we went on 4th down five times. 3 of them where we were in field goal range and came out of those with 0 points. if we kicked those field goals and made them, we should have won the game.

i don't mind that Staley decided to go on 4th down so long as it does not impact the outcome of the game.....in this case those decisions cost us the game.

this game is so typical of a Charger game. i'm kind of used to it by now. but i will say this.......Herbert is the only reason that i am still excited about this team. he is legit, and i feel like we are just on the cusp of breaking away from these types of games.

I think OT would be more fair if both teams were allowed one possession. If still tied then another round of possessions. Much like college and high school OT except using the entire field. No ties

I can't hate on your coach but... my son and I both thought that decision to go for it to end the half was a coaching blunder prior to the stop. A FG would have put them up 7 going into the half. And even though the Chiefs were the receiving team to begin the second, if they drove and scored they would only tie the game. The other times they decided not to get their three was gut feeling and faith in team execution. It can be something a team can rally around... or can be a slap in the face. He thought it was worth the risk and I can't fault him for that. Those non atempted field goals lost that game. Not the team... the coaching calls.

Herbert IS the real deal. He has a great arm and field vision. His mobility is something a defense can't ignore. He makes great decisions and I hope you have the money to keep him on your roster.
Quarterbacks of his skills are rare.

i just hope he does not turn out to be another Andrew Luck.....he is about to break Luck's record of the most passing yards in his first two season as a starting QB. Luck was good but just could not handle the grueling days of being a NFL QB. he just could not handle the injuries physically and mentally. i think Herbert is a waaaaay better QB than Luck. i just hope we can keep him mentally and physically healthy for a very long time. and yes he is going to deserve a HUGE raise when his rookie contract is up.

the good thing now is that we have a very long week before we play the Texans on the 26th.

I never was a Luck fan but I'm a huge fan of Herbert. He and Mahomes are part of the new wave QBs that the league needs.
They put butts in the stands and their merchandise flies off the shelves. Offense is more exciting to watch than defense in most all sports and they both are offense weapons.

I think when the dust settles on the two QBs Herbert will prove to be the better of the two.. barring injuries. Mahomes has calmed down some but he's still tries to make something happen when it just isn't there. Herbert seems more willing to wait for another down. They are both a lot of fun to watch and I hope they enjoy long careers.

Not that you are lacking in the receiving corps, consider where the Chargers might be if they had tools like Hill and Kelce. They both stack Mahomes' stats with Hill's speed and Kelce's YAK yards. Herbert could use such weapons in his arsenal.

The Chargers couldn't convert a 4th down to save their lives last night, if it doesn't work the first 2 times just kick the darn ball.

The Bucks loss came as a surprise to me today. I was rooting for but was surprised by my Steelers win. They needed the W to stay in the hunt.

I'm a bit surprised by the rescheduling due to covid. I'm not saying the move was not warranted. I am a bit surprised that they are accommodating teams now in week 15. That seems a bit of a slap in the face for teams that had to play around their players out earlier in the year. It seems somewhat unfair to me.

Plus fans going to the game.

Stafford has to be soo happy now that he's with a good team, Cooper Kupp is really making him look good as a QB........ you couldn't see any of his talents when he was with the Lions.

agreed. the only thing going for coach Staley is that he is consistent and has the confidence in his team. bur i agree, bad call on the attempts late in the game.

happy?????? more like ecstatic!!!!!! and not just a good team, but a well run organization.
The Lions are a poor litmus.:) Good luck the rest of the season!
i was surprised that they beat Ariziona. kyle murray did not look good in that game. they better right that ship quick or else the Rams will surely sink them.

curious for those playing fantasy football......has the current state of covid protocols affected your team yet? most people might not be playing or are in the playoffs.....and so far nobody on my team has been impacted....yet.

I've had to bench a player here and there this year but they were all questionable starters. I haven't really suffered a covid related loss yet.
I have the feeling that might not hold through the playoffs.
