2021 NFL Football season

so who are you rooting for......the Chiefs or Steelers?

sorry, but i'm rooting for the Steelers.....probably will not happen. the Chargers need to win as well as the Chiefs to lose.

I see that the Chiefs got Tyreek off of the covid list. That is good for my fantasy team and a weapon Mahomes frequents. Kelce is still on the covid list but there is a chance he will be cleared. I'd love to have him on the field tomorrow but I am playing against him in my fantasy.

I'm playing in an auto draft just for fun 8 man FF league this year. It has been less than fun and one guy hasn't bothered to set his roster since the second week. You take the money out of playing and you have players that don't give a hoot. I don't like auto draft and I don't care to play with nothing at stake. Fantasy is flaky enough but is a lot more fun to me if I drafted my players and had opponents that actually played all season.

yeah my league that has been going on for almost a decade has for the 5 years gone with $100 buy in. it is rare that you get players who do not set their roster up week after week. only those in last place might do so.

sadly this year i had to auto draft due to conflicts with work, so.........i'm in the consolation round of the playoffs sitting in 9th place. last week i beat everyone's score with 163 pts!!!!!! if my guys would have performed like that throughout this season, i would have been in a much better place.......oh well

A buy in is the key to participation IMO. I comished an 8 man for ever only stopping it last year due to covid. Members scattered this year so I took an invitation to play in this joke league. It won't happen again. :)

The only other time that I had an auto draft team was a league here at AF. I opted not to play but someone joined the league twice and drafted his team and the other team auto drafted. I played that auto drafted team. It was unfair for I had the best team by far being the only auto drafted team.
 
I had them picked to win. I really thought they would. They needed it bad. Sorry my friend.
I thought the Steelers looked haggard today. I think they have officially given up for this year. I thought the Chiefs would win today but I wasn't expecting a gutting. KC played Andy ball the second half. It's just not within him to step on another team's neck.
 
I know both teams were out a bunch of people, but that still does not excuse the Chargers from not stopping the run. That was embarrassing and could potentially knock us out of the playoffs.

It's always a big gamble when you leave your destiny in the hands of others. I haven't really scrutinized the Charger's chances. Is it a must win and other teams lose deal? I hate that for you if that's the case.
 
I can't recall being witness to so many things going right for one team and so much going wrong for another in a game of football. I'm talking about the Dallas Washington game naturally. I had the Cowboys picked to win but I didn't see a score fest from them. Half of the 4th quarter remains, backups playing, and the score is 56 to 7! I bet the Dallas point after kicker has a sore foot after the game. :) If only all of those TDs were scored by Amari Cooper I might have pulled out a victory in my FF this weekend. :)

yeah i would not have called that a game. it seemed more like a preseason game than anything else.

well going into this week the chargers were in 6th place and in the playoffs. and now with the raiders winning over the broncos....i think there are 3 teams with an 8-7 record, the Ravens, Chargers, and the Raiders. with the loss the chargers gets bumped down to 8th place and the Ravens in 7th place. the 7th seed is the last place to make the wild card game.

the chargers are now out of the wild card race and needs to win both games with the Broncos and then the Raiders.....and hope that both the Raiders and Ravens lose as well.
 
The Holiday Bowl at Petco Park got cancelled yesterday , UCLA vs NC State because of Covid-19 related issues with UCLA.... they wait 3 hours before the game to cancel and me and a friend of mine had tickets to go :mad:

ohhhhh i heard about that, but did not know it was set for yesterday. that sucks. yeah these covid outbreaks are really impacting sports in general.

so you will get refunded for the tickets, right?

They say that they are trying to find a replacement team for UCLA, but if they don't then yeah i want my money back.

Three hours before game time??? That is a real bummer. The expense is the same for those that traveled... double bummer!!
 
well so far we are getting the help that is needed for the Chargers to get into the playoffs. we needed the Dolphins and Ravens to lose and that has pretty much has happened.

now the Chargers needs to win against the Broncos
 
You can't really expect to win when you give up 266 yards catching to a single wide receiver. The Chiefs had it there in front of them and couldn't pull it off. They had no defensive answer for Chase today.

Antonio Brown, I guess he's done... what a confused talent.

yeah that was weird of AB. still no answer as to what happened that made him quit in the 3rd like that.
 
ok so the odds of making the playoffs has just increased dramatically for my Chargers. why could they not play like this last week??????
