Any Gun owners out there?

Edit: BTW bobcat, my wife and son FTE or FTC the 9mm (basically the 26..) regularly due to limpwristing.

Huh

I don't own any glocks.

My buddy has a glock and I've seen that thing jam too much.

I have a s&w mod 29 44mag with the 8 1/2" barrel.

A kahr cw 40

A rock island m1911 45 cal.

No matter what I feed that 1911 it chews it up and spits it out.

Here is a great app I use on my phone: Gun Vault. I bought the pro version, but this is the free version.

It stores a pic of your guns, model, caliber, serial numbers, round count, etc.

Preview of main screen (it scrolls obviously, that is only a portion of my guns)

Welp, my wife rented a Glock 17 and decided she wants one. So, that will be joining our family soon.

No complaints here!

They are like love at first grip.. lol. I remember when I was test driving a few, was going back and forth between the 19 and the 17.... I had to pick up the 17, it shoots so nicely!

I went shopping for a Glock 21 yesterday...thought it wouldn't be hard to find. Unfortunately damn near everything is sold out because of the panic buying. Waiting till the next gun show. To be honest the last time I handled a Glock I was not really impressed...no comparison with my 1911...but I want a relatively inexpensive/reliable HD gun that will mount a surefire light. Glock seems to be an obvious choice...that or an Springfield XD.

I had a Glock 17 and really liked it. I sold it a couple of years ago when I needed money and now looking for another.

Thinking about the new Glock 30S.

A couple of my Glocks with some ColoradoHolster.com holsters and mag holders. His stuff is killer and customer service is second to none.

Nice. I use a Minotaur and have various kydex bodies, then a single leather IWB guy that they all fit into well enough.

Inside Waistband Holsters - Minotaur Holsters - products new home - Minotaur MTAC Holster

I've got several MTAC holsters (know a couple guys there too) and my Comp-tac is easily my favorite of their products. That said this style Kydex are much better IMO for several reasons. For starters, the full Kydex is rigid and stays in place so you're not fighting it. I feel that the MTAC stuff is almost too adjustable and this equates to fighting it all day to keep it in a certain place at a certain angle. You may not notice it now but if you had a quality Kydex holster you would likely realize how much you fuss with that MTAC. I know I did. My MTAC stuff collects dust now and I haven't used anything but these for years now and have no desire to.

I do fuss with it, it's true... I don't really mind but I imagine it's one of those things where you certainly appreciate it when you get something better. I'll keep that around on my wish list. :D

Which, btw, is getting huge.

When you get one and see for yourself I fully expect a thank you for changing your life. :D

That is the only problem I have with my IWB holster for my LC9, I have to adjust it pretty frequently when I sit/stand. I'm looking for a new one like this but made for my gun.

Yeah, it was a real PITA and I didn't even realize the half of it until I had a rigid holster that stayed where I put it (first one was a DeSantis Scorpion many years ago that looked like a medieval torture device compared to the Comp-TAC but ended up being SO much more comfortable). My thought was that the leather ones would be much more comfortable but what I found was that the all kydex holsters are much more stable and solid and this no-fuss application makes for a more 'comfortable' holster to wear all day.

So...How about that forum?

A subforum on here or a totally new glock/gun centric site?

Subforum to lounge on here, why not.. if that's what people want, we have several, May as well add it. Totally newsite? I'm seriously thinking about it, every day in fact. If a couple people appear interested I'll do it, I have a few ideas brewing..

:)

p.s. Wife test drove and loved the G17 Gen4 a week ago. Got her one yesterday and went to some friends land and lit that place up. Was a good time and she shoots it well. :)

When you first mentioned it I'll admit that my first thought was... not another gun forum. The more I think about it though the more I think, what the heck. Go for it. I will warn you though that it needs to be moderated ENTIRELY different than this forum is. I find myself avoiding this forum because the members are handled with kid gloves and those who complain because their feelers were hurt over adult conversations (not even direct personal attacks) are encouraged while those who stand up for themselves or speak their minds are reprimanded or punished. This sort of treatment to the type that own firearms doesn't sit well and the push back will almost certainly spell disaster for a fledgling forum.

Also, you won't be able to use the Glock name/logo (though I'm not sure you were even considering that but it is the brand we've been talking most about) in your forum name because they're quite protective of that. GlockTalk.com got special permission while working closely with reps from Glock to make sure their brand wasn't being abused. You will need to keep a more generic brand but at the same time you will need something to separate you from the thousands of other firearm forums out there. It's a hot button and a lifestyle that is very rapidly gaining popularity so there is a need but you need to figure out something that sets you apart from the others and makes people want to come to your forum. If you already have servers running and everything else you might as well as you won't be needing to beef things up to handle traffic levels for quite some time. Just know that it will take an entirely different approach if you want to keep credibility with that community than an Android forum.

My 8 cents adjusted for inflation.

How about throwing a bone to Sig owners? Please?

I think a general gun forum would be great. I don't own a Glock or Sig. I do however own a couple S&W, a couple Ruger, Remington, Henry, and Olympic Arms firearms.

On way to beach with the teens, will be back later tonight but will be fairly scarce through the week. Got a lot to think about though!

Android Gun Club ;)

It would be nice to have a small and friendly community. The ones I've been to are full of big egos and juvenile behavior.

Add another vote for a gun forum...

Glock was not available...so I got myself a Springfield XDM 45ACP last Saturday. Ran a function test last night with 26 rounds. Beautifully engineered gun. Much easier to clean than the 1911. It's so cool not having to reload every 7 rounds.

If only I could find more ammo for it. :(
