Mine has gone up and down. A few days after the upgrade my battery was dead on the way home from work. Another day, I was at 60% on the way home and lasted 19 hours without a charge. I did nothing different and I don't get it.

Defective battery ? I get 14-16hrs in daily basis and I notice the screen is on 3-31/2hrs during the use gps on and sync on , Twitter all day and newsrob too. Idk how you berry is so bad I even check the format on the phone a lot ( using it rite now )

10-12 hrs a day heavy usage.....no battery issues. It usually has about 15% left when I leave work......put it on the car charger for the ride home unless I forget. Still have about 10% an hour or two later when i do forget to charge in the car. Some friends have found that 4g was turning on at boot....though the widget switch showed off. Once they fixed that their battery drain was solved. I haven't had issues since "conditioning" the battery the day I got phone 3 I haven't had any issues.

Check your data connection maybe that reset to automatic and not Sprint. I had the same issue did the hard reset, reloaded certain apps no task killers or System panel, rolled back FB until the new update and re applied my settings. battery's back to 2.1 level.

How are you using your phone? If you're going thru 3 batteries a day u must be doing some serious data usage. My battery is pretty bad but i can get at least 7-8 before my next charge and thats with moderate use.

You know im really not. I can see the battery meter drop 10 points in an hour just on standby. Im not sure what is going on but its getting me very frustrated. I even have roaming turned off so the phone cant search for other signals.

I may just give the Phone to Sprint service by my house for a couple of days and let them watch it and see what they say before giving it up. The thing is I don't want any other phone I want this phone, I cant even imagine going with that new samsung slider the only other choice is to go back to a Neanderthal BlackBerry again..:(

Is there anyone who lives near this guy that can go hang out with him for a day and see if he really is having these problems? This is getting toothed point where someone just needs to call him on it. Id be willing to bet therein nothing wrong with that phone.

Ok I just got Off the phone with Sprint. I have recorded over 3400 minutes within a 30 day cycle so something is really wrong because I just do not use my phone that much. The other day a friend of mine in California called me and asked why I called him at 320am and I said I didn't and he must be mistaken. Now im wondering if this thing isn't making phantom calls and not hanging up and thats whats causing the battery to go dead. Sprint wants me to bring it in for service he said after looking my bill over the usage activity has an "unusual" pattern.

Ohh boy, the BM saga continues....

Like others have said, I have to agree that you're definately an iPhone kind of guy.

why do people keep blaming 2.2, its facebook 1.3.0 and 1.3.1 that is draining the battery. its keeping the phone awake. a new "feature" with 2.2 is auto updates in the market. so even tho 2.2 comes with facebook 1.2 as soon as you enter the market facebook updates. turn off auto updates for facebook in the market and uninstall the update and watch how long your battery lasts

edit: someone needs to make a sticky for those that missed the news

a new feature for 2.2 is auto updates in the market. a few apps come with this feature on by default, facebook is one of them

turn off auto updates in the market for facebook and uninstall the update. the new facebook update keeps the phone awake. i know facebook announced that 1.3.1 fixed it. but for me and others ive seen around in the forum, facebook, and the market comments it did not.

be nice to make this a sticky as alot are bashing 2.2 when its facebooks fault

Thanks I already have 4 of the Asian knock off batteries and two wall chargers. I go through about 3 batteries in one day.

Sorry BetterMost but im sure you use your EVO constantly, I dont blame you its one bad ass phone. When I use mine casualy I get around 10-12 hours. But if im surfing, playing games, downloading or just down right playing with the phone for extended periods of time I get around 4 hours. Go easy on her every once in awhile and you may see a battery increase. :)
