Root [BETA]Cyanogen!! Landed!!! :) Go get it![Updated 7/12/2011]

Seems like some/all of the apps are rendering in 16bit instead of 24/32bit color. Anyone else noticing this?

Specifically, the gallery app, and the default music player widget.

I was expecting to see better battery life since we did not have all the blur and it has maybe been a little worse. Most of the morning I was seeing about a 5% drop every hour while at work, texting, gmail and checking tweetdeck mainly, which was normal, I noticed Droid Overclock was not on and start it up and it started sucking down the battery a little faster, about 8% an hour. I will say that I did not notice that Droid Overclock was not working because of the performance, just noticed it on the widget. I am thinking of keeping my back-up but uninstalling.

Check your cell standby. It's a common bug.

And others also reported that overclock does not play friendly with battery life

Im completely impressed... with my ability to sit, watch and wait. Lookin like there are plenty beta testers at the moment.

Thanks. That's what I was askin' about. :)

Things to do:

Change the boot logo back to the Red M (hoping bochigo's mod works. ;)
Get the camera/video to work right.

Red boot logo....check. (ty bouchigo)
gps fixed....check
network edited to my name...check.

camera....waiting.

Yes it does show the cell standby, however with Droid Overclocking not on my battery life seems to be the same as it was on Gingerbread undervolted. So while cell standby is 50% of my reported usage, it does not seem to be bringing my battery down any faster than normal.

However if there is really an issue and it gets correct then battery life on this is going to be amazing.

does nightlies mean we get an update every night?

It means that code modifications get built every night. Typically those builds are for testing purposes - they're not considered stable.

Most of the daily mods are to the main CM source tree and won't affect anything like the DX-specific problems.

What is stopping you??? Camera Illusion and Videocam Illusion both work to give you a working camera and camcorder. They are not the same quality as what we are use to, but both work fine to get the job done.
you answered your own question...

For a beta with the fixes that have been found this is very solid. Themes are so easy to apply now and the GingerBlur theme makes me feel at home on an even faster X.

i have never denied this, and even said it multiple times...i just need my phone to function properly for the next couple of weeks in particular...too much potential for problems with a beta OS to risk right now...

He's loves blur so he will be back off of cm7 soon.

The new blur elements are better than they started out as on launch day. I however prefer a vanilla OS experience. Besides if i need some fancy gigamawidget to do something, I can find one on the market. ;)

well im getting a permission error, and i do not know why, so i cannot transfer the gps.shadow.so to the /system/lib/hw :( anyone else run into this problem?

Peer pressure is a bi***. Especially when it is coming from someone your grandfather's age :D

I am w/ Trooper; going to hold off for at least a few more days.
