Root [BETA]Cyanogen!! Landed!!! :) Go get it![Updated 7/12/2011]

I'm flashed back into gb rooted stock. I want to try the new rom out, but I don't see it in Rom Mgr. Where is it? TIA.

is the cyanogen update only appearing in premium rom managers for folks running cyanogen on their dx's? I just don't see it in my rom manager.

no, i see it in mine (nonpremium)

Did you update clockworkmod? I recall not being able to see it before the updates.

Now, when I click on "Download Roms" it only shows Cyanogen and one other folder, and the updates are in the Cyanogen folder.

Prior to flashing any of the builds in clockwork download the superuser 2.3.6.3 efgh.zip that is listed in Extras. Once you install the build and the phone reboots go back into recovery and install the superuser.zip and you can haz your rootz back.

I have Rom manager premium. I uninstalled and reinstalled. Still no cyanogen. Boy am I miffed.

Seems its too late to jump in now. Way too many go here and load this and go there and load that in order to make things work. Might say im a bit intimidated at this point due to sitting on the sidelines and reading vs. jumping in and having hands on experience. Hope a final comes along soon because its sounding like a wicked OS to me.

Just load the monster file and gps fix, them wait for final build, I'm at the point I'm gonna stop paying attention to it for now.

Ever since my second flash back to gb stock rooted, i"m having random reboots into recovery, when plugged in. Gonna fix a few system files. I think that may be it.

I'll be away all day. Have a good one!

how do you find the nightlies in rom manager? is it 'check for rom updates?' do you have to have premium to get them?

For the people that can't see the nightlies in CWM..

Make sure to update (not sure it works on non premium)
after updating in the market hit "flash clockwork"
Click on droidx (2nd init)

That should do it.

I've updated my recovery. I just wasn't sure how to get at the 'update' (I know you lose root).

its actually funny how far the codename made it throughout the development process...

for instance...if you have the DX car mount (GPS mount)...and you remove the "insert" that you have to take out when your X is in a case...

on the back it says...

"For use with Motorola Shadow (remove when using genuine Motorola protective case)"

Droid X is Verizon's name. They pay for the phones so they call it what they want. It makes sense Motorola would keep their internal name, easier for them, specially if it was to launch on multiple carriers.

Okay I understand now I can toggle back and forth between recoveries in clockwork Mod. Ty.
Edit: does anyone know if the nightly number three still loses root?
