I have been having a certain problem that rears its ugly head so badly that I have to completely reflash the ROM.
As many of you as well as MrBobo and Downthemachine know, I don't panic and run to a dev the moment I get an issue without trying to fix it myself or to determine the root of the problem first (DTM hates this about me LOL). That said I still haven't figured out why this particular problem is happening so I figured it's time to see if anyone else has had it occur. I'll just be minding my own business not installing or anything and for no apparent reason I'll get a RAM dump so badly it locks up my phone. I'll pull battery, restart, and it'll open right back into a RAM dump. With a LOT of patience I could open the app I was using (Antutu CPU Master Pro) to adjust my settings but it would only open to a black screen so it was unfruitful. Tried numerous other apps and nothing would acquire root privelages and just black screens. Eventually the phone will reboot itself and do the same thing. Then, I go to recovery, clear both caches, same thing. Back to recovery again, fix permissions, same thing. Back to recovery again and again and tried all 4 OC kernels one by one I have as well as the 1 non-OC, same thing. Finally, I reflash ROM and all is well for about a week then start all over again with the RAM dumps and lockups out of the blue. At the moment I feel it is something with Antutu CPU Master Pro and the profiles I had running because I stayed with that thru all of them. Right now I'm using SetCPU Pro and profiles with OC v0.6.4 1.8Ghz kernel. Running well going on 3 days. BTW, I was running well and one day I decided I was bored with CWM and decided I'd put TWRP back on and after doing so and rebooting, RAM dump and lockups. Reflashed ROM with the native CWM built in and all was well again. Note that I have ran TWRP before with no problems so that one is still stumping me. Might just chalk it up to my dumbest smartphone but dunno yet. Will update on all of it... to be cont.
