somethings up with the new version on my end. flashed & it just stays blank when the boot animations is supposed 2 show up. tried with the hot fixes also. same results. just stays there.. had 2 go back to the 1st beta.

mine wasnt working and then it randomly started again. Not sure what issue causes it but mine is updated to date with the hotfixes and beta2 and its working for me.
you seem to experience issues that others are not having
the MMS over 3g was working for others, it is just MMS with WiFi that had a problem

what baseband are you using ed13 or ee14?
Try redownloading the zip sounds like its messed up,
I'm on ee14 baseband u might need to use Odin and Giro stock then try beta 2

anyone got any news to report on S2E? issues, working, not working,
reason why i ask is that on first beta i had to install darktremors for s2e to work, then after a reboot s2e would be gone and i'd have to start over
so far just installed second beta and gapps and hotfix B then s2e i can't get it to work:
i formatted sd-ext in CWM then setup s2e and after that i couldn't get sd-ext to mount in CWM without formatting it again

i tried to install s2e twice following directions from a2sd and s2e for cm7 thread. installation went smoothly but got some sort of error about UID. it rebooted and bootlooped when i got msg so im not sure on exact error.. 2nd time i got msg saying i needed to clear data partition because it was unstable. i gave up

Totally different phone i tried the new version on...
i havent loaded the new version on to my personal device which had the MMS problem.
but ona friends device who wanted the mod, i odin it to ee14, updated the CWM5.. then ran the new version. it wouldnt boot up. it just stood blank like i previously wrote @ boot amimation screen.
it did boot up once i odin back to ee14 & the updating the CWM5 again. then flashing the previous beta/hotfixes u posted. so i left it like that.

I forgot to mention that the problems and errors with s2e did not start until I actually added apps and rebooted phone. Not sure if thats what actually caused it but i do know that everything seemed ok after installation of rom a2sd and s2e.

s2e works for me... from a fresh install with no help from darktremmors

i went back to the 1st beta cuz wifi wasnt working. hroark what files did you change? i want to try and see if i can add those files to one of the old updates from beta1, update from cwm and see if wifi works then.
wifi worked fine for me in beta2d, and no one else has mentioned any problem
a lot of files changed because I resynced with the CM repo, so I can not list them, you can use a program called WinMerg to compare the 2 directories
I am going to work on a new Beta that uses the files from the new GB update, it will take me awhile, it is almost as if I have to start over

i flashed it yesterday and connected to my wifi and it said obtaining ip addres and after it was done it would disconnect. i instaled beta 2 then gapps and then the 2nd hotfix

Has anyone by chance had any luck using Absolute System Root Tool or any other system tweaker that allows for the preview and download of boot animations? I used to use Absolute Root System Tool which worked fine with both stock and shabby mod but now it doesn't want to download or install any boot animations even though it says it has root permissions since my install of CM7.
I can of course look for them online and install them manually but I just figured I'd ask if any one has any ideas.
As usual the help of this forum is always appreciated!

When I open the camera and switch over to camcorder, the brightness increases by a lot and it seems like none of the settings seem to work. Anyone else having issue?
Also, hitting "Restore Defaults" in camera FC's it.

does anyone know a fix for gps. keep having problems finding my location and i need this since i travel quite frequentley.
download GPS fix from the market and run it once thats what i did and now my location locks in seconds
for some reason on cm7 i can not see my sdcard. no funky formatting going on, just the default fat32 i think it is. funny thing is, it works fine in CWM and it works fine if i enable mass storage mode, i can see it that way. finally, i can also move apps to the sdcard and see the available space on the sdcard through the system menu.
despite all of these things, my sdcard can not be ready from file explorer and my camera complains it can not take pictures until i insert an sdcard. any ideas?

Hilariously, today it started working again. I guess it resets itself overtime somehow. Definitely a animation that bugs out randomly it seems. Ah now my ICS themed CM7 is complete. Just waiting on Hroark's GB Prevail ROM updates. Take your time man I know you have plenty on your plate.

my be a stupid question but did you try unmouting it and physicaly pulling it out and then putting it back and remounting it?

Not a dumb question... because I hadn't lol. I guess it just didn't occur to me to try since it was "partially working". Anyway, I powered the phone off, took the sdcard out, booted it without the sdcard and then added the sdcard once it was fully booted. This fixed the issue.
