I can verify that I am NOT having the BT problem. Running Beta 4 with hotfix 3. No problem sending or receiving to or from the phone.

Regarding the Google Maps app; I found that it worked initially as installed with the ROM but, I believe, as I installed other apps something caused it to slooooow down to the point it says it is not responding and asks if you would like to wait or force close it. Perhaps some sort of conflict. In my case I suspect it is the MyTracks app. It seems by reading this thread others are having similar problems.
I haven't seen any solutions posted as of yet, but I believe I have found a workaround for this problem. Took me a number of hours over the weekend, but my Maps app is working flawlessly now!
1. Force Stop Maps then clear data under Settings>>Applications>>Manage Apps>>All tab>>Maps
2. Uninstall (after backing up) Maps using Root Uninstaller (Titanium Backup should work fine too)
3. Download cm-7.1.0-HROARK-beta-35.zip (if you don't already have it) then extract the version of Maps from it (should be 5.8.0) - or you can Google it like wetbiker7 did.
4. Place this version of Maps into ApkInstaller.zip following the instructions located here.
5. Place the resulting file onto the SD card, reboot into CWM and flash the zip (i.e. "ApkInstaller.zip" or whatever you decide to call it). Thanks to Bloodawn for this tool!
6. Reboot phone and launch Maps.
7. Enjoy flawless operation of Google Maps again in combination with this awesome ROM of hroark's.
Perhaps others who are having the same problem can try these steps and see if it works for them. Please provide feedback and I will edit as needed.
Hroark, If this does work for others, perhaps there is a way to incorporate it (Maps 5.8.0) into a hotfix or the next revision of the ROM? Also, if you do include it I wonder if there is a way to block the market from offering the Maps update, as the current one does not work either (tried it as well to see if it would fix the hang problem). At least that would prevent people from updating the functional Maps version unaware of the problems they will have.
Glad that I could be of some help. I had been screwing around for hours trying to get Maps working over the weekend and deleted some things manually. By the time I attempted to install Maps 5.8.0 and MyTracks, neither the normal app installer would install Maps nor would the market install MyTracks. Even manually copying the apk files to /system/apps and rebooting did not work. After flashing them with Bloodawn's ApkInstaller.zip and rebooting everything was golden.
Copying the apk. and re-booting did not work for me either . I know this is strange but I had to go back in system/app and actually install Maps then I rebooted . I was surprised when I rebooted the first time and didn't find Maps installed .
Hroark , One thing I have noticed since switching over from CTMOD to CM7 is some loss of signal . I changed my PRL over while running CTMOD and was getting 2-3 bars . Since switching to CM7 , I am getting 0-2 bars with a lot of fluctuation . Any suggestions ? Maybe change PRL back to stock ? Thx
Yeah I did the same thing a while back and had the same problem so I flashed a stock GB nandroid backup and updated my prl through the system to get the boost prl back and then flashed back to this version and my signal is back to what it was like on ctmod. I'm not sure why but for me cm7 didn't like me on the sprint prl.Hroark , One thing I have noticed since switching over from CTMOD to CM7 is some loss of signal . I think it might be more useful for measurement and comparison purposes to go into CM7 settings and change the status bar signal strength to show dBm instead of bars. I am going to give that a try.
Of course, if you flash back to CTMOD you would have to record it from the About Phone screen to compare.
Now I just need someone to explain how to understand what the numbers mean.
I just extracted it from the cm7.zip to my sdcard and installed using root explorer and it works fine for me. I had all the same problems with maps as posted above..Copying the apk. and re-booting did not work for me either . yep mine was the same till I went back to boost prlYeah , it says -86 dBm right now and will jump up to -101dBm . The only thing is it's fluctuating like crazy . It'll go from 2 bars down to 0 and back up to 2 bars every minute or so . There is a possibility that Boost is doing some tower work or something . I may flash back to CTMOD and change my PRL back and see what that does .

BoostWhat PRL is 61007?
Restoring CTMOD to change PRL back stock . Will post results in a few minutes .
you shouldnt have to revert back to ct to switch back to boost prl huh? only to change to a sprint prl i thought

My limited understanding is that CM7 does not support updating PRL or using hidden phone menu codes

Shit ! I just PMed you Wyelkins . Read it ASAP . Dunno what the heck is going on . I just got blocked from this thread for about 10 minutes or so .
Anyhow . You are correct . The PRL cannot be changed w/ CM7 . You must revert back to CTMOD . I just changed back to the Boost PRL , restored to CM7 and I was getting a steady single bar . I changed back to my 11115.prl restored back to CM7 and I am now getting 2 bars steady . I have came to the conclusion that Sprint is working on the towers in my area .
i found a dialer code on cm7 mostly phone info and statistics with a few preferences and configurations you can set. dial *#*#4636#*#* to check it out
View MEID
*#06#
only other one ive found so far
i found this one as well *#*#2432546#*#* its named .checkin but i am unsure what it does after entering the code i get a notification in the status bar that reads "checkin succeeded."
must have been a problem with the site cuz i was blocked as well for about an hour. anyways, so you do have a better signal on cm7 with prl 11115? I'm sure it's not the same in my area but im going to try that out too just to see.
