Liking Beta 5 so far and my new class 10 16GB SD. Thanks to WetBiker7 for the tip on that.
Getting Quadrant scores around 800, but they still fluctuate.
Getting R/W scores from SD tools of 25/8. Is that good? The price was right.
Old card was getting 11/5.
Kouma mentioned a break in period. Might it get faster? Especially the Write speed.
Or maybe just crash because of the price. LOL. Worth it either way.
hey no problem, as to the speeds are either of you using the script in /etc/init.d called sdcache?Your welcome man . And a thanks to New Optimus for putting me on the site . Good lookin' out Optimus .
I think that we did pretty good , Wy . The more I use it , the faster it's getting . I'm getting very similar speeds to yours right now and you just can't beat it for the price . Good thing we got it when we did , they're back at regular price now .
This new Beta 5 is nice !! I really like hroark's tweak on the sd ext , It's working nicely . Glad Johnny and I got the themes working again too . That's a plus for me . Thanks for the help Johnny !

If your talking about the 4 main keysbon the phone..i would say no...well atleast i havent been able to enable it
So does haptic feedback work at all for this beta version of CM7?
There is going to be ALOT more kernels coming out soon, you should know why
for now try this, and tell me how it works
Prevail_cmbeta5_no_ext_BOOT_cwm.zip
i removed the mount line in the init.sph-m820.rc that mounts /data to the sdcard second partition
it also has a new zImage with integrated ext4, and i removed the old ext4 modules and lines in the init.sph-m820.rc for the ext4 modules
got that
get it
done it
did it
P.S.
we need some Linux experts helping us with kernel and ROM dev
I am drafting you
Obey my cat
Hey hroark, sorry I took so long to get back to you. I tried to flash the zip, but it failed either as an update or a zip.
LOL! I am flattered, although I'm not sure I would consider myself a "Linux expert"! I have used Linux extensively for more than 10 years, though Ubuntu has caused me to get a little rusty since most everything works "right out of the box" unlike Debian in my past experience. Nonetheless, I would like to contribute to the cause wherever I can.
Haptic feedback is fine, its a hidden setting however, AFAIK it was the same way on beta4 and it works fine here. I'm just about to update mine and get it going on beta5 with my mods and stuff.
how to enable?
you flashes in CWM
what version of CWM do you have
did it give an error?
are you good with ppp in Linux ?
