It's true, being a white male is difficult. Worse still if you're a straight white male. I mean, you suffer from lower pay on average, being treated like shit by institutions today, having racist slurs slung at you, having the media constantly portray you by terrible stereotypes and everything. Why, there's a history of your ethnicity being enslaved en masse, shipped off to be worked to death or sent to concentration camps just because of the color of your skin. I mean, gee.
I shed many, many tears for you, sir.

I'm sorry to hear that you're having difficulty find work, times certainly are tough right now. I would not be so quick to assume that this is a race issue though, as everybody is affected by the unemployment problem. Let's all try to keep this from turning this into a racially-centered debate.
So fair is definately perspective.
black man doesn't think it's fair that his great grandfather was enslaved, but thinks it's fair he got the job over the white man (if that's what happened) because of past sins of the white man white man thinks it's not fair black man got the desk job and that he's being punished for what his ancestors did.
Can you explain further? Do you have proof that they weren't better qualified? or do you assume that they got it because they were a minority and trying to find a reason on why they were hired instead?
I've tried applying to many jobs and I'm a gay, first generation, Asian male. I've applied to about 15 different jobs since entering high school and have been interviewed 5 times and have received 0 acceptances. I'm not some idiot either. They were just other people more qualified than I was.
Keep trying! You're not the only person who is having trouble finding a job as evidenced by the unemployment rate. I'm sure also that there are tons of people from minority backgrounds who are in your exact position. Can you explain their issue?
he's being punished for what people (that may or may not been related to him) before him did.
A voice of reason and an adult perspective. Thank you. The whiny white-straight-middle-class frat boys stomping their feet were getting very old very fast. Hint, children--sometimes it's not because of "race." Sometimes there are peo....rabble rabble rabble
Intervenient - Are you employed and just looking for better? Sounds like you are a cop looking to get off patrol. Are you union?

i think you took that wayyy to far man. He wasnt implying other races aren't well educated or any of that. Maybe you are unaware, but yes what he is talking about DOES happen a lot. For instance: My father works for the city (fire fighter). On a civil service exam you actually get extra points for being a minority. When he was on the waiting list to be hired he was ahead in line in front of an african american. They tried to give the job to the other man before him because he was a minority, but after debating and threats of hiring a lawyer the job was given to my dad. A lot of times companies have to have a certain percentage of minorities employed at any given time. Doesn't sound equal to me.... you seem like a very angry person, i hope someday you realize not all white people are bigots with god-complexes
If you walked into my office with one tenth the chip on your shoulder as you are projecting here in your posts, your resum
