Root [Kernel][GB] KoumaKernel 2.5

I install this kernel, and now Internet Explorer on my cousins computer in New Jersey is not connecting to the Internet.

HELP!!!!!!!!!

I have read that using Internet Explorer in New Jersey may cause problems. It is not the kernel. I would suggest not using IE or get your cousin out of Jersey...:)

Do not sit in the front seat.

"Leave the disks, take the Cannoli."

Glad you guys got this thing running for everybody now.

Kouma

can you add support for a Gadolinium Gallium Garnet Quantum Electronic Processor in your kernel

I want to try to upgrade the CPU in my phone

WOW Just when i think i have read THE MOST OUTRAGEOUS series of posts, i go and leave home without a phone charger, and when i get power again... well... look at it... you guys crack me up. and the saddest part is many wont even get the point he KEEPS trying to make...

Just threw 1.2 on my phone. All seems to be running well. Will keep you posted.

Edit: Quadrant scores are up just hit 1680 and Lovin it!

Had 1.1 on mine earlier today with CTMOD 2.5. Whole phone really seemed to have moments of lagging. Running with a 16gig class 10 card, 1 gig part for the ext. Just loaded 1.2, will report back if problems.

I'll say its pretty darn cool to see 772 megs for Available space after having everything installed I normally run. :p

First things first, thanks to Blood for the continued awesomeness!! Also thanks to Kouma for 1.2 kernel. Was running the 1.1 and had 1.5gb of internal memory. Decided to tinker with it a bit and and made the partition a 4gb.....everything working fantastic so far. I have a 16gb class 10 sd, and everything is smooth and peppy!!

Thanks!!

Kouma

what lines did not change in 1.2 ?

Can't remember off the top of my head, but I looked at your CM7 mount flags, and what I had, kept all that were common from the 2 as well as all the ones from both that offered a performance boost.

IIRC, i kept things like barrier=0 from mine and added noauto_da_alloc from yours

nevermind.
Question: since I'm using this with CTMod 2.5, and I no longer use a2sd, then is there then no reason for me to install A2SD gui, or can I still use that to move the Dalvik over to the SD Card, or is this not the way this works anymore.?

So this (1.2) is different or newer then from KoumaKernel1.1 or is there no difference.

1.2 is different due to someone telling me that they were getting 1400+ quadrant scores with Hroark's version of my kernel with the SD-card change, and 1100ish with KoumaKernel 1.1.

I dug through a bunch of manpages to figure out what i could about all of the EXT4 mount options, compared the options Hroark used to mine, and came up with something that was a bit of both.

last i heard, that same person is now getting 1600+ quadrant scores

And my SD card is a 2 on a scale that goes to 4. SanDisk from Radio Shack.

Got a cheap class 10 on the way. Can hardly wait to see what it does.

Ooh my bad, this is with Hroarks modified kernel for CM7. I have not tried Koumas yet. But, I want to.

i havent reinstalled A2SD yet because i saw 1.2 if i allready partitioned the card from when i had A2SD would i keep it the same to setup 1.2?

I'm using CTMod 2.5, and I am to understand that it removes the CIQ carrier thing, but for this kernel on the first post in the change log it says 0.2: Had to put CIQ service back in to resolve bootloops for some users

So does this mean after I install this kernel then I got the CIQ thing back again? (even though I'm using KoumaKernel 1.2GB )

that was only 0.2 that was that way

even if the kernel did have that in it, it wouldn't add CIQ back. all the kernel does is try to start a file and CTMod has it removed
